I always try to ignore how things are going on around me in hope they will somehow get better on their own but I guess I can't keep ignoring how shit is hitting the fan here. Everything, everyday, just feels completely and utterly hopeless.

Security Alert: U.S. Embassy Havana, Cuba (September 18, 2026)

Location:   Cuba

Event: As of 1:57 p.m. EST, Cuba experienced a total power failure due to a collapse of Cuba’s electrical grid. According to Cuban regime media, the reason for the collapse is under investigation and the timeline to restore power is unknown. All U.S. citizens in Cuba or planning to travel to Cuba should be aware and plan accordingly. There are reports of cellphone and internet outages.

Cuba’s electrical grid is increasingly unstable, and there have been multiple nationwide power outages in the past few months. The electrical system remains vulnerable, and additional regular outages have been occurring more frequently and for longer periods. Scheduled power cuts occur daily, and unscheduled outages persist throughout Cuba.

Actions to Take:

Review daily updates published by UNE (Unión Eléctrica) and follow UNE’s social media accounts.
Monitor local media for updates.
Stay in touch with family and friends.
Keep mobile phones and portable battery banks charged
Have flashlights and spare batteries in a location easy to access
Stock up on nonperishable food and water
Prepare for alternative methods of meeting your medical needs (medical devices requiring power, medicines refrigeration, etc.)

I've been told that the reason I keep getting some random bots on my Instagram's Stories is because there is a possibility that someone I've blocked is using a third party website to bypass the block and look at my stories without being caught Whoever it is, can ya stop you fucking freak lmao ? 💀

These are emergency comms, Cuba's entire power grid collapsed again today. The whole country is without electricity, and these outages make it harder to work and survive. If you can please share my commissions. Every share helps me reach people who can support me with food, hygiene, and basic needs.

Hello everyone, I dread making posts like these, but I desesperately need help sharin my work right now.

I'm a Cuban artist, and commissions is the only way I have to properly put food on my table.
If you enjoy my work, the biggest way you can support me is by commissioning me or simply sharing my art
with others.

Cuba has been in a severe economic crisis for years, but the recent tightening of U.S. sanctions has made the
situation even worse. In my area, power outages now regularly last anywhere from 8 to 20 hours a day.
Sometimes we spend multiple days with almost no electricity, and when it does return, it's often only for a few
hours before going out again. As you can imagine, this makes it incredibly difficult to work consistently as
a digital artist.

On top of that, food has become increasingly scarce, and the prices of basic groceries have risen so much
that it has become a luxury to eat.

Today, the national grid collapsed again, collapses that have been happening since before the sanctions due to
our deteriorated electric system that our government has neglected fixing, now with no fuel entering the country,
the collapses are almost monthly, with three of them happening only on July.
This means from 2 days to a week of total blackout for my country, food scarcity getting worse, and an almost
paralyzed country

Around half of what I earn from commissions goes directly toward helping my family survive: food,
hygiene, and everyday expenses. The other half goes into savings for one goal:
leaving Cuba once I receive my Spanish citizenship and starting a new life with my family somewhere
we can finally have stability.

Every commission helps me keep working. Every share helps my art reach someone who may be looking for
an artist to work with or support.

Thank you so much for reading, and thank you to everyone who has supported my work.
It truly means more than I can put into words.
