The #TonyAwards are meant to recognize and honor talent. Death of a Salesman has an immensely talented cast and crew, regardless of who the producer is. It’s not even a matter of separating art from artist in this case; it’s supporting art and artists despite the business side.

Fitting that, after all the SNL alums get nominated, Lorne Michaels wins a Tony.

I’ve enjoyed Schmigadoon since the beginning (check the date). One of my main thoughts watching the series was how well it would translate to the stage. And it did! Very excited to see the stage adaptation win Best Musical at the #TonyAwards tonight after I got to attend two weeks ago.

Schmigadoon’s creative team thanking Apple TV for cancelling the series before its third season, which led to it becoming the Broadway show that just won Best Musical, was perfectly petty. #TonyAwards

The camera work during The Lost Boys’ #TonyAwards performance was very well done. Loved the shot of Ali Louis Bourzgui as David looking at LJ Benet as Michael in the crowd during Have to Have You.

Having not seen either show myself, Ragtime winning Best Revival felt like it was basically a foregone conclusion despite Jellicle Ball being the favorite among social media users. No major surprise there. #TonyAwards

Two Strangers and Rocky Horror doing mashups at the #TonyAwards rather than single songs was a great choice. This is their best chance to advertise the shows, and they were able to showcase a bit more range that way.

I changed my prediction back and forth between Ali Louis Bourzgui and André de Shields so many times before ultimately landing on André because it felt like the cats had more momentum than the vampires. I was wrong! (I personally would have loved a Layton Williams win.) #TonyAwards

Put P!nk in the cast of Chicago. I’m so serious after that #TonyAwards performance.

I don’t know if Two Strangers will win at the #TonyAwards tonight, but Sam Tutty and Christiani Pitts were extremely kind and generous with their time when I saw it. They stage doored after a matinee on a two show day, while it was raining, signing Playbills and taking selfies with everyone.

People keep questioning if Schmigadoon is original because the story, written for the stage, was adapted to screen first. But this is its Broadway debut, like shows that start on the West End (Two Strangers), off Broadway (Titanique), or regionally (Maybe Happy Ending). #TonyAwards

Titanique didn’t choose the best number to perform at the #TonyAwards. I understand wanting to include the full cast, but the show’s strength is its humor, and that wasn’t fully on display. The bit Marla Mindelle did with P!nk before the commercial was better.

No word yet who the guests will be on tonight's series finale of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, but there are lots of black SUVs parked outside the Ed Sullivan Theater, the stage door has been covered with a tent and there are several police officers nearby.

Flew to New York because we had tickets for the finale of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert but CBS canceled our registration without explanation as we were standing in line. (Press is not being allowed to attend the taping, but I’m here with my mom, not as a journalist.)

After tonight’s episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, you’ll be able to count the remaining shows on your fingers. There will only be ten episodes of The Late Show left.

Authorities were able to access Nest camera footage that Google says isn't stored, just days after Ring's widely discussed Super Bowl commercial about AI searching for visual matches in footage from entire neighborhoods. There's going to be some fascinating journalism about this.

All those people trying to describe what Aperture sounds like by comparing it to other songs and not a single one compared it to Midnight City?

Harry’s vocals get a bit buried in the production of Aperture, but it does make you want to get up and dance. On first listen, I don’t think it will make my top ten Harry Styles songs, but it likely also won’t make me reach for the skip button.

Tomorrow’s Stranger Things finale comes with a double dose of nostalgia for fans who have experienced major life changes in the near-decade since the show began. One such Lansing resident has switched careers, bought a house, got engaged and had two kids since he started watching.

Instead of selling tickets for the #StrangerThings finale screenings, theaters sell concession vouchers. No ticket revenue for Netflix. Could be a sign of goodwill towards theaters before bidding on WBD, or a result of cast contracts not being set up with box office bonuses.

Cynthia Erivo’s rendition of No Good Deed might be the best performance of a Broadway song I’ve ever heard. The Wicked: For Good soundtrack can’t come soon enough.

Wicked: For Good defied every expectation I had as someone who doesn't love the second half on stage. I was skeptical of the decision to split it into two films, but #WickedForGood is tonally and visually distinct. Impeccable performances and grand staging make it a delightifying sequel.
