Apparently this refers to the area in North Carolina, not the musical instrument (sadly)

My name is blank and i play in blank, a triangle-based post-hardcore band

Deeply disappointed to learn that this press description doesn’t mean “anti-William Jennings Bryan-themed rock music”

Absolutely gutted to hear about the passing of Johnny Miller/J. Waylon Porcupine of Friends of Cesar Romero and The Reddmen. He made so much good music, even as recently as last month there was a great FOCR record I hadn’t even gotten to for the blog yet.

snappylittlenumbers We lost a legend. Rest in power Johnny Miller aka J. Waylon Porcupine. I met Johnny in 1999 and we were instant forever friends. The Reddmen blew my mind. Miyo and Trevor helped propel his vision.
Johnny's output as Friends Of Cesar Romero, both in quality and quantity, was unmatched in the sphere of carport rock. 50 entries in the Doomed Babe Series?!
Amazing. What an incredible talent and wonderful human. To have released his records and played beside him on multiple occasions for nearly 30 years will forever be honors I hold close to my heart. We love you

This is, somehow, the entirety of the Wikipedia page for the lead singer of Hawthorne Heights:

James Thomas "JT" Woodruff is an American musician best known as the lead vocalist of the American rock band Hawthorne Heights.[1][2][3][4][5] He has also released solo music under his own name.[6][7][8][9] In 2024, he named his favorite 1990s emo albums for a Consequence article.[10]

From Gang of Four’s instagram:

gangoffourofficial It is with broken yet full hearts
that we share the news that Dave Allen, our old
music partner, friend, and brilliant musician, died on
Saturday morning. He was at home with his family.
Dave had endured the early-onset of mixed dementia
for some years which has been a heartbreaking time
for his wife Paddy, his children, and close friends.
Our love and thoughts are with them. Jon and I
[Hugo] went to see him and spent a lovely afternoon
with him and the family. We talked and laughed for
hours, sharing rich and vivid memories of good times
together. Adventures, careers in music, raising
families, our interwoven lives spanning half a
century. We've been so very lucky to have had the
Ace of Bass in our lives.
We know that Dave would have wanted nothing more
than to step onstage with us again in Portland on our tour But it's now a bridge too far.
Goodbye, Old Friend.

I initially thought this line was “Fools rush in but they're the only ones with guns”. I think I like that better.

Hydroplaning Off the Edge of the World
Song by Destroyer ‧ 2025

Overview
Lyrics
Listen
I lie to myself, I lie down on the breeze
I whisper "Hey, breeze, where ya going?"
Does the wine or the whiskey miss me? No
At night cats get smashed in the snow, I don't mind
We are gathered here today to have a real nice time
Absent friends, where'd you go?
Fools rush in but you're the only one with guts
We are family
I lie down on the breeze
I whisper "Hey, breeze, where ya going?"
It said "Fuck it, I don't need it, religion and rules"
I cross my heart and then I hope to die
I go to the park and then I go back home
Fools rush in but they're the only ones with guts
We are now entering a new phase
A priest mistakes me for a priest
Mistakes me for a Houston Rocket validating snow
Insane intercourse, constant swapping
While I fall asleep inside a bass
I'm counting on my breath to make tunnels
I'm counting on my breath
A British Columbian prayer
No matter when, no matter where
Suffer

It sounds like you’re calling Pacing a liar….although I guess bass is an “additional guitar” in a sense (I’m going to update it)

Produced by: Katie McTigue
Recorded, mixed and mastered by Ryan Perras at District in San Jose
Ben Krock: guitars
Kabir Kumar: additional guitars, vocal production

Ah, damn, RIP to Bad Moves, one of the best bands of the last decade

Tweet from Bad Moves:

Hi friends! It's been an excellent decade Rocki with y'all, but the time has come for Bad Moves to say farewell.

No bad vibes here! Life changes have brought us to a crossroads and we thought the best move would be to party with the kids who wanna party with us one last time.
