RossMoffat @rossmoffat.bsky.social · 13hThink before reposting. I was sceptical when I saw this on tomsguide & it seems my instincts were right. The mendacious want all of us not to trust anything so as to make 'bothsiding' more credible. Propagating 'news', good or bad, that turns out to be false, plays right into the baddies' hands. 000
RossMoffat @rossmoffat.bsky.social · 14hYep. I tried to describe to someone yesterday how a person reared in complete isolation would still be capable of creativity, but that an AI agent, without its LLM would be inert forever, and so with AI plagarising everything original, there'll be much less motivation for humans to be creative. 010

RossMoffat @rossmoffat.bsky.social · 09/10/2026It's deeply offensive to describe Russia's invasion as 'War in Ukraine'. I'm certain that Rubio's use of those words is deliberate and aligned to Russia's goals, but I despair when I read Western print media and broadcasters glibly echoing the phrase. 020
RossMoffat @rossmoffat.bsky.social · 09/10/2026This google feed headline about UK bank HSBC eliminating most of its humans from 'wealth management' comes complete with truly surreal meta irony in the footnote, "Generated with AI, which can make mistakes." 000
RossMoffat @rossmoffat.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Perhaps both. Holocaust denial & sympathy for fascists (namely Hitler) naturally aligns to cranky far-right, but post-truth contrarianism, e.g. NATO opposition & sympathy for fascists (namely Putin) aligns with cranky far-left. Polarisation is tending to make the cranky ends of the horseshoe fatter. 010

RossMoffat @rossmoffat.bsky.social · 06/10/2026It's a salient piece.
