Getting older and grumpier. Fed up by the ongoing decline of my world. I'll find it difficult to avoid politics. I do love animals/birds/nature, culture and travel and so that's where I'll probably post most. #hedgehogs. Photos mostly taken on my phone!

Fabulous meal at #Purslane Edinburgh. I know that I'm lucky we can have these experiences. Purslane is a very small fine dining restaurant that deserves all the plaudits it gets! #FoodArt #Food

Why are data centres such a big deal in Scotland?
At least 23 huge data centres are planned in Scotland, causing significant concern for campaigners.

Its very easy to stand against things where you have no personal accountability. Its what I hate most about politics. European comparisons are immensely difficult due to the very different state and private pension provisions and benefits regime. UK is not generous but it isn't simple.

Entire city centre is an awful mess. Outside of strikes, don't think I've seen worse. Let's not blame tourists either...in fact we were told that the tourist tax would help deal with our streets. Today, it's shameful. @#cityofedinburghcouncil

It's almost as if John Swinney and SNP aren't responsible for the failures in education, health, transport, policing, local government, drug deaths, etc policies in Scotland. Very effect propaganda and populist control of the narrative.

For credibility sake though, maybe share your modelling on impact of independence rather than arguing in a Reform/Brexit way. It might be possible to have a grown up debate rather than propaganda, grievance-led campaign.

Let me.make myself unpopular. I want the Scottish Government to introduce a new tax!! Tax large mobile homes using Scottish roads - particularly single track roads. They are dangerous and totally unsuitable (the 6-wheelers and bigger). Largely the owners bring little economic benefit.
