This is *really* poorly worded. I thought this dude got out for the season and not just a game for a second.

So…basically like how App Review works?

A quote from Daring Fireball.

That’s the nut of it. Last winter Apple sent an entire team, including engineers, to Brussels to present a proposal for the TSA (maybe that’s another acronym that needs rethinking on the basis of prior art) to ask, basically, “If we build this, would you deem it DMA-compliant?” and the Commission’s response was basically, “Build it first and then we’ll tell you, after we get feedback from you competitors on what they think of it.” And Apple doesn’t want to spend up to two years building a complex system, exclusively for the EU, only to find out then whether it was all for naught.

The Apple Sports UI for the World Cup bracket is really good. It is a very fun interaction.

I got a PlayStation 5 Pro for Christmas. So naturally, I am putting it through its paces by starting a play-through of Final Fantasy VII. No, not that one.

I have had a 40 book per year reading goal for about 15 years not. Today, I finally hit it for the first time.

Knee surgery number two in the books. Hopefully done for awhile.

My knee wrapped up and in an immobilizing brace.

Can't let a bad knee keep me from getting the garage cleaned up. And can't let a clean garage go without some music and a beer. It's dumb I need the fan in November though.

I don't think the Vision Pro showed this software update progress report on the external display before. It's a nice touch.

I had no idea this is where the phrase “grandfather clause” came from. (From the “This Day in History” in today’s Oklahoman newsletter).

1915 — Black people’s 15th Amendment right to vote was upheld in Guinn v. U.S., a U.S. Supreme Court ruling that declared Oklahoma’s Voter Registration Act of 1910 unconstitutional. It found the state law – one of numerous suppression attempts in various states that eventually led to the Voting Rights Act of 1965 – had disfranchised Black voters through its “grandfather clause” that required passing a literacy test to register to vote yet exempted people whose grandfathers were entitled to vote in 1866.

It's cool having a kid be interested in my work enough to specifically request that @radarscope.app sponsor his baseball team. And it's cool working somewhere that said yes immediately when I asked about it.
