When I try to explain this to people I often get “Waiter waiter my lobster is too buttery” responses, and I understand that. I’m a white person with a curvy build, my body is nowhere near as politicized as bodies of colour or gnc bodies. “Ugh my boobs are too big” sounds very annoying, I know!

A big disconnect I’ve been coming to terms with for a few years now is between the way my body looks and the manner I would like to be perceived. My wish to be a neutral source of joy is marred by my jugs and its distracting to me. It’s less dysmorphia and more “girl get with the program.”
