It has features associated with poo. Folds and worm holes. Some of the dark silica material is formed in such a way as to possibly be undigested bone. But the clincher is the pinched off end. It was found in an area that was a shallow shore of a mountainous island in an inland sea.

11+ lb coprolite I found this past summer. Appears to be from a large carnivorous dinosaur 🦖 Coprolite is poo from ancient animals that are preserved through mineralization over millions of years. #willettcreekagate #rockhound #coprolite #rockhoundingnewmexico #rockhoundingtours #dinosaurs

A large piece of rough common opal caliche with dendrites. Union county NM. It's slowly polishing under the awning from rain runoff. Have to turn it periodically. #willettcreekagate #rockhounding #rockhoundingtours #rockshop #commonopal #dendriticopal #lapidary

A small stunner I found while waiting for my mail carrier. Pink is my Bic lighter. Couldn't see the screen to get it in frame. Lol #willettcreekagate #rosebudagate #rockhound #cybermonday #shopsmall

Went rockhounding with a friend today. Found a new area of exposed rosebud agate seam. Some very nice material coming out of this hole. #willettcreekagate #rosebudagate #rockhoundingtours #rockhounding #agate #rockshop
