Joe, Erin, Xoe, and Matt all poured our hearts into this game. I think you can feel it when you play. I don't think there's a better value for your game dollar, either. $8 for ten digital canvasses is a steal! (Not literally; LunarPunk is very ethical) Or $12 for 15. It's very worth!

The other thing the card does is give a set of “achievements” that is appealing to our completionist natures .. While it does both it is more about keeping things fresh .. Good play is more than just knowing the winning hands .. I do think American is more beginner friendly but because of the wilds

It is a fairly standard med-light Euro in some respects with a lot of twists. The game leans heavily into the theme of the little red book in that there are *lots* of restrictions that prevent you from Euro'ing. Ours is historical fiction so less of that and more like the decision of how much thematic integration to do .. like, should the player have to milk their cow every turn or just collect “food”

I think that explicit narrative (in games or books) might create more emotions in the creation but that is because that is the whole experience, so you have to be there as the creator too .. In game design, I experience lots of emotions that my players never do: hope, excitement, despair, surprise

Perception of balance is more important than actual .. I have a 2p asymmetric design that I know to be 55/45 but in unguided testing, several people reported that the 45% role is broken and unbeatable 🤣
