Spooky season continues with an eerie, beautiful piece of puppetry and dance: Discipline I really need to look more into Mona Fastvold, she can evoke such feeling with her shots. letterboxd.com/roscone/film... #spookyseason2026 #filmsky

Today's spooky season pick: Cold Storage It was...maybe a shade less than fine. Liam Neeson in particular was not any good at all. It could be a fun one to have on in the background of a Halloween party where no one's actually sitting down to watch the movie. boxd.it/gu3q3f #spookyseason2026

Next up: The Bride! hoo boy is this *something*, but I think it's the kind of messy, mixed up something that's still worth seeing. I'm sure this really clicks for some people and absolutely puts some people off. I ended up more in the middle. boxd.it/gtv76V #spookyseason2026 #letterboxd

It starts with a truly obscure holiday horror comedy that I watched with 3d glasses as a feature on an also-obscure Star Wars parody staring Paula Poundstone and Chris Elliot (Hyperspace): The Fright Before Christmas! (can't find box art, used the anthology it's in) #spookyseason2026

I can't say it enough: solar and heat pumps are revolutionary. It's not even the sunniest part of the year yet, and my electric bill for May was $35. $10 is the flat fee for just being a customer. No gas bill, no oil to fill, just clean electricity coming straight from my roof.

potentially hot take? The one thing I've never understood about The Masters is the food. A cheese sandwich on white bread, plain chips, and a moonpie are what I'd expect from my church's fellowship hour, not the fanciest golf tournament

Is this Trackman? I think if these are the first 3 rounds he's done, it'll only look at the differential for the 68, and then subtract 1 on top of that
Your Trackman Handicap is calculated from the best 8 scores from the last 20 rounds. As a new score is submitted a player's Trackman Handicap will automatically update to the most recent 20 scores. A player's handicap usually updates immediately after their round is uploaded.

A new golfer will not have 20 scores to be able to generate a full Trackman Handicap. Instead, we use the table to establish the Handicap until the full 8 of 20 scores can be used.

The reason the early rounds are adjusted is because there is less data to calculate the player's Trackman Handicap, so this safeguard protects other players whose handicaps are calculated using a more robust scoring record. Additionally, a player typically plays to their ability one of every five rounds. When only three or four scores exist, it's possible that the player hasn't yet played to their potential.

When "scores" are mentioned, it doesn't refer to gross score from the player's round. The score in the handicap record is termed a "score differential".

lol they're not even unionized? Oh buddy you all did this to yourselves, you should simply quit
“No more weekends off, more work than ever before in 18 years. No more union. No more down time,” the post continues. “This is not what any of us envisioned for our last years of career when we are in our 50's.” (In 2022, thousands of ICE personnel lost union representation that many other government workers possess, including protections around overtime pay. The president of the council that represented ICE officers within the American Federation of Government Employees alleged that the union had become “far left.”)
