We adore the little man and want to make sure he knows he's the king of the cranky mountain!

Roo The Kangaroo @roothekangaroo.art · 17h

The litter mostly got away with the missing legs. Poor Roo (pictured left) had hydrocephalus (why his head is a dome), is deaf, has strabismus (wonky eyes), and only grows nails out of 4 of his 8 toes. He's a genetic hot mess but we love the little ornery man!

Yes, his whole litter was born without front legs due to inbreeding.

It's a pretty exciting night for the daddy! Made cheeseburgers on the grill for dinner but also tonight marks my first real report on our station. At 9pm CT, my story on the local performance of Bob Log III will air on www.fox7austin.com in case anyone wants to tune in. #dogsofbluesky #music #news

The crew's mama and I were talking about how fast the babies grow up and how much they change. Roo Man's legs were so splayed out, we didn't know if he'd ever stand or sit up. Little Beanie Baby could fit in one hand a few weeks ago and now she's gigantor! #dogsofbluesky #dogsky #puppies #cute

I'm sorry I've been posting less than before. Life and work have just been exhausting. But thank you for being our friend! Here's a little bonus for you!

After an exhausting weekend being ornery, Roo Mans and the crew got a big plate of tamales, rice, and beans! Then off to sleep with big tamale bellies. Hope you had a good weekend! #dogsofbluesky #dogsky #dogs #pets #food #weekend #Sunday #dinner #MexicanFood #tamales #happy #full #sleepy

For those of you curious how dad has been since his surgery, 6 months later he is almost back to his own self. He is self reliant and back to doing the things he loves. He made the trip down to get tamales like a champ. Happy birthday dad! I know you didn't think you'd make it to this day!

Roo had a big adventure this morning at a Foam Party! Lots of people and doggies wanted to meet him! And as a reward for being so brave, he got a pup cup from Sonic on the way home. Happy Saturday, everyone! #dogsofbluesky #dogsky #dogs #party #splashpad #adventure #happy #social #dogpark

They LOVED her! Everyone formed a line to have a chance to hold her. Even the boss really liked her. On Fridays we have a segment to showcase a pet for adoption so the whole department looks forward to the dog coming around so I knew everyone would love the Beanie Baby!

It's been a hectic weekend with the in-laws visiting so the daddy and the Roo Crew are chilling. But little Beanie Baby went to mama and daddy's work for socialization and to meet new people. Hadn't realized how BIG she's gotten in 6 weeks! #dogsofbluesky #dogsky #dogs #puppy #growing #love #sweet

Roo is usually a cranky old mans but he has been so patient with the pups. Also foster Dulce has been skittish and shy since she's been here but you could tell she wants loves. Last night the mama put her in her lap with everyone else and she loved it! #dogsofbluesky #dogsky #dogs #foster #dogpile

Please pray for little Xyla. A family came all the way from Houston to adopt her on Sunday. After repeated warnings that she is a flight risk and needs to be on a lease, they ignored us and she bolted into the woods when they opened their truck when they got home. No sign of her since. Heartbroken.

He hates anything on him. He groused for weeks when we put the flea collar on him. Forget little sweaters or clothes for the holidays. LOL

Roo The Kangaroo @roothekangaroo.art · 10/07/2026

Good morning! It's a rare Friday that the daddy is off AND at home so that means the crew gets to hang outside more than usual. You can see Roo Mans doesn't like to put his chest in the dry grass so he does his "duck walk". Have a good Friday! #dogsofbluesky #dogsky #dogs #bipod #special #Friday

After our senior Chihuahua passed away on Christmas, Candy has been aching to fill his spot in the crew. Little girl is the runt but she's got the biggest personality and she is a fearless explorer so I named her Dora. So Candy says we have to keep her now!

Roo The Kangaroo @roothekangaroo.art · 08/07/2026

She does. She's fearless so she'll fit into the crew perfectly!

I am thankful for the fact that, despite it being a handicap for our Lil Mans, being deaf helps him on nights like this when it sounds like a warzone going on outside. Hope y'all had a good 4th of July! #dogsofbluesky #dogsky #dogs #fireworks #deaf #holiday #IndependenceDay

Our special boy Roo the Kangaroo is also deaf so, while all the other dogs freak out with the loud noises, he's snoring louder than the fireworks.
