Random thoughts-- LOTS of hyena refs ofc, but this is the general though process I have. They're small squishy-squarish guys, and making them look just a little yuck makes them look cuter. Wide, flat, rounded-box. And they scrunch up fun. I don't aways draw the nose or teeth anatomically correct.

screenshot of text -- Sinibun writes: These guys here are what my line sketches look like mostly for Sini/yeens. I mostly start with a oval/circle and build up shapes. But I did some quick notes for ya in a quote tweet I hope are helpful!
If theres a piece you'd like to see the sketch for hmu and I'll see if I got it

hyena sketch notes; rounded pointed flat head, wide snout, round jaw, small chin

I saw something that reminded me that I was mildly upset that this wasn't an actual movie trailer. youtu.be/SM4aD_B3WYA?...

An unfunny phrase I coined not too long after the start of 2026 is “This was supposed to be the Year of the Horse… Not Horrors.”

I may not be very social or think of myself as "Nice," but I have a firm stance to not got out of my way to be an asshole or fuck with other people. I genuinely don't see how people have the energy of this shit either.

Just got my part of the YCH I entered done by InuFaiya on FA. Also sure I labeled it correctly. Guess I can mark getting a Sauna piece off my list. Think there will be another version with the other slot filled, will be back with it then.

My character for Draw Steel is a Gnoll who in his backstory WAS an Orc. He recently caught a Slight Case of Lycanthropy after an encounter with werewolves. I am somewhat struggling to visualize him. Ha

Has anybody else noticed? Or is this a highly specific experience?

Graph depicting types of sheaths observed on anthro art over the past 20 years.

Classic: is a realistic canine sheath that I first encountered in the early 2000s on sites like the VCL.

Perky: describes a rounded stylized sheath that seemed almost ubiquitous on sites like FurAffintiy in the 2010s.

Mellow: the latest innovation in sheaths, very similar to the perky variant, but with blunted tip and points downward, behaving more like a flaccid humanoid phallus. Appears to be a trend of the 2020s.

It's still 2025 somewhere, but fuuuuck. Tried adding money to my Paypal so I could get a comm, but for whatever reason it wouldn't let me. Was going to try figuring things out at a proper time tomorrow but... A single person took both slots of the YCH. Not gonna count this as the start of 2026....

Metaphor: Refantazio was fun for a while until I got to the late game. You get two party members, possibly three, too late to really work on them. That and with how you are chronologically blocked from further bonding with people, there were multiple classes that I couldn't progress in yet.

'AI Destroyed the Digital Artist' (from our BLFC show) is based on the 80's hit by The Buggles. This parody is a modern commentary on AI art. In the same vein as the original, it's a reflection on how technological advancements can disrupt established creative artforms with sad consequences.
