This feels like a wakeup call Everyone should draw an alligator/croc today 🐊

Rooley @roolen.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Im pondering whenever or not if I should lean more towards stylized artwork (in other words, more toony and expressive) or a serious and perspective-focused format Like obviously i wanna do both, but i have to choose one & study it Or maybe i should mix and match them to certain days hmmm i dunno..

Rooley @roolen.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Yeah! Thank you! You can draw if you want, i like to think of it like a low-pressure thing, its more important to have fun!

I genuinely had no idea what to do for sharktober so i made a silly comic out of it instead #Sharktober #Sharktober2026

a very funny 4 page comic on a VERY shiny shark
N: It's october!! do you know what that means??
the gator looks at their shark friend, thinking for a bit
R: Uhm.. Sharktober?
the very pudgy shark nods in affirmation
R: But isn't the 1st one shiny shark? (referring to sharktober as some kind of outfit changing event) how would you even look-
N: I'VE ENGLIGHTENED!!
*it shows a very shiny shark, too shiny in fact its blinding its gator friend, to the point they have to cover their eyes*
NO! screms the gator in mild annoyance, he just got pranked!!!

I am going to color everything on ibis now i guess I've always wanted to try out that grey flats value-to-color method but i just cant seem to understand how it works Well i have another reason to study that sooner i guess

Using ibis again and feels like going back to my roots or something

Spray paint of an alligator
Thoughts: the spray brush looked very cool, so i wanted to try it
Ibis feels so uncomfy to use? Like if i was on krita i'd first draw a quick sketch and then drew my lineart on top. But here i'd just skip that first step because it feels uncomfortable (like i cant braindump on ibis??)
But at the same time it feels cool to have to change the way i draw and experience something different in a while
Also i've been drawings alligators for a bit, which also makes drawing them (without guidelines) in ibis easier

As a reader, I think it depends Like if its a continuation then yes, it should be a reply But if its like slice of life or a comic where each post can be understood individually then separate can work too

I also struggle with this! I find that listening to brown noise helps with my overflowing thoughts, maybe you should try it

(Referring to the last picture) I sometimes ponder about how much of a nuisance it would be to have a gator snout Mostly for my main OC, who is an alligator (and like 3ft) But i try not to think too hard on it cuz i love anthro croc/gators regardless

000

Rooley @roolen.bsky.social · 09/06/2026

A lot of people enjoy your art pikat!!! Its just that the negative comments are the loudest ones most times I think its cool to see every piece you make!! (Specially the clodsires ree) i love zooming in on details sometimes too!!!

Rooley @roolen.bsky.social · 08/06/2026

It looks so cool! Also i love that type of tail ✨️✨️✨️ (underrated fr)

This is a drawing a did a while back when i drew on ibisPaint Its of a character i havent posted yet, their name is mark! (I have a total of 4 characters btw)

Drawing of a horned dragon
(i stopped drawing on ibis cuz my phone started having ghost touch issues)
It looks nice, tbh im sharing it cuz i wanted to show a friend and i thought it would look good here too, as im not very perfectionist-ic anymore
Also if i post dragons again they'll have the horns pointing at the front not the back!!! I was experimenting!!!

Dont beat yourself up over mistakes!! Everyone makes mistakes!!!! If your art looks bad today or of you messed up your studies its totally okay!!! So dont be harsh on yourself!!!
