Captain's Log: Had to stop by The Clinic in the Narion system to pick up some medical supplies. I was never there before, so I was surprised by how big it was. As I hadn't had time for lunch, I had to grab some grub from a vending machine. #Starfield

One of my favorite games from way back was Arcen Games AI War. A fascinating mix of tower defense, 4X & *deep* fleet combat, I loved it! Because of a rough 2019 launch, I forgot about the sequel. The Steam Autumn sale has reminded me! A steal at 75% off! store.steampowered.com/app/573410/A...

I converted another Starfield screenshot into the anime look. Here, my vessel destroyed a House Va'ruun in a (cool!) fight amongst some asteroids orbiting Venus. Tonight's episode of Starfield Jazz: 'Mercy, Mercy, Mercy' (set to a soundtrack by Cannonball Adderley)

We lost internet for a day because of that Nor' Easter, so no streaming. I spun-up my Cowboy Bebop DVDs instead. It made me want to play Starfield again. SF hits closest to that CB theme of a close crew out to make credits. SF screenshots even look good with the CB style! 😄

September is yellow. I don't mean "yellow" in a cowardly sense, just that it is...well, yellow . It feels yellow in a way other months do ...

I have been tired out on WWII shooters for a while. So, if you would have told me that I would become addicted to one in 2026, I would have called you a liar. But I have, and the shooter is called Easy Red 2. It is like starring in your own WWII movie! #PCGaming youtu.be/1g2QHzkcGa4?...

If there was a setting that demanded the Pixar animated treatment, it was Minecraft. How a production can be so out of whack with its source material is beyond me. Just another example of why Hollywood, with a few exceptions, is toast.

RooksBailey @rooksbailey.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

Even worse, the acting feels like community theater level, with Momoa painfully miscast and completely out of place. Jack Black injects manic energy, but it’s as if he stumbled onto the set and began ad-libbing. Very disappointing. Finding it hard to finish. /2

I finally watched the Minecraft movie, and unfortunately, I agree with the general opinion: it’s strictly after-school fare, unlikely to appeal to anyone over 16. The humor swings between pop culture pandering and flat jokes that never land. 1/
