Stream, Whomst? Me? Knocking a classic game from the bingo card and a Halloween-ish theme together, The Last Stand has their legacy games (1,2 and Union City) on Steam and Zombies are pretty Halloween friendly, why not join them for a Bite (maybe) at 8pm(GMT+1)

Live? Tonight? Me? Why yes, it is the Thursday innit, I'll be live at 20:00(GMT+1) with at least @eesnutch.bsky.social for Shift at Midnight, a totally NOT spooky game where we just do some Shop management, yes No funky gifs this time, take my word for it

Rook Elrahm @rookelrahm.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

Special for Bluesky, not letting her work get stole by AI, @aineishere.bsky.social did a wee Rook in a Cockpit for me to go along with this

Hey everyone! Sharing more work on Char's Zaku today. Primed and undercoated for slap chop painting later. I probably did the white paint a little thicker than needed but it should work out #GundamAssemble #GundamAssembleShowcase #GundamAssemblePainting #GundamAssembleHobby

Char's Zaku II Gundam Assemble model - Primed black

Char's Zaku II Gundam Assemble model - Undercoated red

Char's Zaku II Gundam Assemble model - Undercoated white

Tad Archaic, but I wasn't fussed on the sides of the base being bare too, so I just took the red and blacks from earlier and made the Rook Pattern around the Rim #GundamAssemble #GundamAssembleShowcase #GundamAssemblePainting #GundamAssembleHobby.

(If you wanna see a good eye, go to @dungoufed.bsky.social, they did a real good one)

I've always sucked at eyes (Sorry little guardsmen) but I gave it a fair go, mixed the various reds with the air white scar to brighten them up a bit and we'll see how it dries #GundamAssemble #GundamAssembleShowcase #GundamAssemblePainting #GundamAssembleHobby.

Now time for the "fun" part Thinking a more Red mono-eye for the Rook Theme so we'll stick with Mephiston once the Abbadon base coat dries in #GundamAssemble #GundamAssembleShowcase #GundamAssemblePainting #GundamAssembleHobby.

Course Corrected, tidied up the areas and darkened it back down again, you learn more from your failures than your successes #GundamAssemble #GundamAssembleShowcase #GundamAssemblePainting #GundamAssembleHobby.

Forgot the chest when I did the gold highlights so we got them now, Quick drybrush to correct the blacks and Reds and we should be gold #GundamAssemble #GundamAssembleShowcase #GundamAssemblePainting #GundamAssembleHobby.

Dawn'd Stone We'll let it dry in and go over in eshin again, same as the wild rider, but WIP is all Progress #GundamAssemble #GundamAssembleShowcase #GundamAssemblePainting #GundamAssembleHobby.

Might've gone a tad heavy on the wild rider but this is a WIP, we take the mistakes and continue the WIP #GundamAssemble #GundamAssembleShowcase #GundamAssemblePainting #GundamAssembleHobby.

With work and our 1st anniversary event trip I didn't do too much work this week But I did find these wee army painter flowers and shrubs to add to the base, make the muddy side a bit more vibrant #GundamAssemble #GundamAssembleShowcase #GundamAssemblePainting #GundamAssembleHobby.

Gonna be slightly delayed with Dinner after work, but I will be live with something shortly! Probably Wardogs but definitely something, joined by @eesnutch.bsky.social

Black is now lightened too Also tidied up the Pauldron so the gold is a tad more circular and central #GundamAssemble #GundamAssembleShowcase #GundamAssemblePainting #GundamAssembleHobby.

Happy LevelUp Pixie! 🎈🎈🎈

000

Rook was silly a while ago and grabbed air whites instead of layers, but it worked out well here for the uneven terrain #GundamAssemble #GundamAssembleShowcase #GundamAssemblePainting #GundamAssembleHobby.

000

Metal took less time than expected, but while we wait on that to settle I can work on the road markings for the base #GundamAssemble #GundamAssembleShowcase #GundamAssemblePainting #GundamAssembleHobby.

000

That's the ironbreaker drybrush done, just a touch of Runefang Steel on the more exposed parts and we might get onto the Reds today #GundamAssemble #GundamAssembleShowcase #GundamAssemblePainting #GundamAssembleHobby.

000

Got distracted by Stream but here's what it looks like after the night of drying, we'll build up the metal today and that should leave us ready for the Reds and Blacks tomorrow #GundamAssemble #GundamAssembleShowcase #GundamAssemblePainting #GundamAssembleHobby.

While we wait for the base to settle, we can get Armouring, not sure if going to do Rook themed armour (Metal with Red trim) with just the Pauldron being flag or Rook's Flag (Red with Black trim) yet, we'll see #GundamAssemble #GundamAssembleShowcase #GundamAssemblePainting #GundamAssembleHobby.

Side note: Technical paints are more fun and more messy than I remember

000

Wanted to use the foot to do a boot print in the Mud but it appears I got a bit too zealous fixing flattening some bits XD

000

Night shifts over, back to progress Mud and Stone, make him look like he's patrolling beside a road, should be pretty cool I hope #GundamAssemble #GundamAssembleShowcase #GundamAssemblePainting #GundamAssembleHobby.

Update 2: Optimally Primed Decided on Grey Seer by citadel since contrasts are easy acquired, gonna go for a red and black Rook scheme so we'll give it a fair go #GundamAssemble #GundamAssembleShowcase #GundamAssemblePainting #GundamAssembleHobby.

Just a wee touch of battle damage to the Pauldron shield, wouldn't be a Zaku without some Zcrappin'

000

Could've sworn i added the pictures, here we go:

Update 1: Model fits together well with basic tools, only part that needs glued will be the MG although for stability I'll make sure he's glued when I'm ready to paint Sun came in the window right as I started XD #GundamAssemble #GundamAssembleShowcase #GundamAssemblePainting #GundamAssembleHobby.
