Hey, it's me. Writer, reader, crafter, nerd, and amateur folklorist. Chronically ill (long covid) and won't be silent about it. We are still in a pandemic. Wish I was a tiny mouse living in a tiny mushroom. 🐭🍄 | She/her

Did a Haunting of Hill House page in my junk journal yesterday. The red pen didn't show up quite as well as I'd have liked but I'm pleased with it overall.
A two page spread in a spiral bound journal. The left page has brown paper that looks somewhat like wallpaper with the words "help Eleanor come home" written in red ink. There are other small pieces around it such as a paper scrap reading "spine-tingling horror", a picture of a book copy of Haunting of Hill House, some smokey scraps, an urn, and a small circle picture of Eleanor dancing in grey.
The right page has the same brown wallpaper like paper and on top of it is an illustration of two pale hands holding a ghostly grey one. There is a sticker that looks like a stamp and a sticker of a candle with roses.

Crabssant 🦀🥐
A box of croissants, one of which has been doodled on to badly resemble a cartoon crab.

An hour after making this sad post, I remembered I had received a package from a dear friend today that I hadn't opened. So I open it and find two books, and it was honestly such a bright little light in what is such a horrible time right now. Hate can't drive out light and love forever.
Two books on top of each other. The first book is "Best Fairy Tales of Hans Christian Andersen" and the book on the bottom is "The Haunting of Hill House" by Shirley Jackson.

Rereading The Hunger Games trilogy for the first time since I was a teen. It really holds up remarkably well. #booksky
A picture of The Hunger Games book by Suzanne Collins. There is a grey blanket on my lap, and next to the book is a wooden bookmark carved like a sunrise. A pair of glasses also sit behind the book.

Over the weekend, I finished the front and back covers of my 2025 #junkjournal. Rather pleased with how it's turned out so far. Front is pages from a too-beat-up-to-read copy of Grimm's fairy tales, and back is a bunch of fabric sample squares from the stash! 🧶 #craftsky
Two unbound journal covers laying side by side. The cover on the left has a torn illustration of a tree, under which you can see a page from a book. The cover on the right is made of 6 squares of fabric of varying colors and patterns. Beneath one of the squares you can see peeking out part of a book page that reads "Grimm's Fairy Tales".

Also got these beautifully sturdy embroidery hoops, my partner got a lovely foil/leaf set, paint brushes, watercolor pens, and that dark rumpled fabric barely in the corner is a few yards of very nice poly velvet. We are both QUITE pleased with our haul. This is my favorite annual event now.😍
Craft supplies laid out on a white rug; embroidery hoops, gold foil, paintbrushes and fabric.

CRAFT SWAP CRAFT SWAP Lots of fun odds and ends I'll use for junk journaling, including nice paper and some delightful and weird stickers. Also two little coffin boxes that I am excited to do something with.
A pile of crafting supplies including stickers and paper, and two wooden coffin shaped boxes.

Visited Cupboardmaker Books today and fell in love with their beautiful book spine mural 😍
A photo of a white woman wearing black posing cheerfully in front of a wall painted like colorful book spines in a snowy parking lot. The yellow book spine she is gesturing to is yellow with a branching tree, the spine for the book "Uprooted" by Naomi Novik
