I‘m renting a car in the UK in a couple of weeks. For the first time ever the electric was the cheapest. Only 1€ a day, and there could re all sorts of reasons why, but there was a huge premium very recently.

Schengen is amazing. Amazing. Get off a plane and walk out of the airport. Drive to the Adriatic in 5 hours because there’s no border checks. Of course joining the EU doesn’t mean automatically being admitted to Schengen. Ask Romania. Austria blocked them for a long time.
