Protesters order a driverless car through the app, direct it to the protest site, then set it ablaze to block traffic. It's unpleasant and quite polluting, but there's a strategic precision to it: no civilians are harmed, no private cars are burned, and no drivers are injured—because there are none.

The amount of time that will be wasted by students, and even apparently their grandparents, chasing after fake AI-generated citations is thoroughly depressing

Email saying: "Dear Professor Binns:

My grandson, who is in high school here in Puerto Rico, is trying to access your article, Ethical Challenges in AI-Driven Decision-making. I believe it was printed in the Journal of Ethics and Technology in 2020. He has searched everywhere, but cannot find a copy. Can you direct him?
