Founder, Your workflows, work habits, work activities, tasks, and so on -- these are all a part of how you accomplish the work that builds/runs your company. If someone gathers such data off of you without your knowledge and consent, then that is not only espionage, it is comprehensive espionage.

So, it's collecting my workflows, gait, moods, breathing rate, and other data -- 24/7 as much as it can lock on. (Likely for AI training, as I'm probably not the only target.) This'd be espionage. So I obfuscate everything. I change my gait, stand in different ways, breathe differently, and so on.

Founders, beware. These are just the old stuff. (And there are so many more of them.) If one still has the opportunity to stay in stealth mode for as long as possible (up to the point that it would benefit the startup), then one might want to consider it.

It's actually a frameworked thing with many parts fused. So the framework has a level of sophistication, but the operation side is done so poorly that I feel funny even talking about it.

A growing trend in hacking? (Nothing new.) I'm not targeted by any US gov't entity: - they have no reason to target me - they'd carry it out flawlessly, just as they do with anything else - this is super illegal The APT actors on my tail are such noobs that even I'm disappointed in them, somehow.

Y'know when there's an AI inference running on the meatier machine, and its H-Field creeps towards you from multiple feet away and, like, touches your arm or leg? Pretty freakin' creepy... lol

The industry, seemingly, became a bit desensitized to new model releases at some point. Maybe it's also hype-verification fatigue. (Checking capabilities of new models, which often presented small advances.) The second half of 2024, and maybe first half of 2025, was such a rigorous period.

I'm guessing only a few dozen people realize Gemma 4 must've been released with the confidence that without the infrastructure, LLM-based AI can't do as much. Because Gemma 4 is super powerful, and if more people knew just how potent it is, then they'd be implementing it for all sorts of things.

Hardware-level shielding. (B arrives at a coffee shop. Joins A at a table.) A: "Is that a microwave?" B: "No. It's my laptop." A: "Why is it in a microwave?" B: "It's not." (B starts turning knobs on the sides of the bulky device, looking at what appears to be an e-reader sort of display on top.)

I have a proposal for a theory: Let's say, if only 10,000 people in the world understand electronic-level, EM-based security vectors, then how many people or machines are at risk of facing such type of threats per year? I don't think it comes out to be that many. But maybe that'll change with AI.

"Security theater"! Pahahahaha! Opus 4.8 is a fun one. Love it. 😂
A screenshot of Claude Opus 4.8 "Thought Process" with the following text displayed:

"The user has clarified they're interested in software-level TEMPEST considerations rather than hardware shielding, and they're adding a new requirement around EM signature randomization through process padding to obscure electromagnetic emissions.
They're also layering in several other substantial features: in-memory encryption that stays active until the user or model needs the data, multiple themes with a TEMPEST-focused dark mode designed to resist shoulder surfing and OCR attacks, per-user randomization of encryption and obfuscation methods using both programmatic and AI-driven generation, alternative input methods beyond keyboards, and enterprise-grade source code that's modular, clean, and difficult to reverse engineer.
I need to think carefully about what's technically sound versus what might be security theater, and be honest about the real limitations while still delivering something genuinely useful. I need to be..."

With all the advanced capabilities that the US has had, it's interesting that we keep it conventional.

Some may actually be rich (at some rate or another). But there's only one way to stay rich: keep making money, because even if one doesn't have any expenses, the value of money goes down.

Make no mistake founder: The most advanced, most persistent, and biggest threat to your startup's intellectual property and proprietary data can be the consumer tech devices all around you.

Damn, dude. My tech security suite is so extensive. All the way from hardware to software. It has this sort of "in your face" design where you command your ground and make it harder for anyone to penetrate the data you're processing -- even from a nearby distance.

So, I hear the IRS could use some agentic AI tools -- for, like, decades now. The zero trust kind, obviously -- totally in-house.

Bluesky is great. I like it. It has this openness to it. (Hey, just like the blue sky. Aye?) And it doesn't obligate visitors/viewers to leave a sign (via view stats). That, alone -- even when the data is "anonymized" -- might make some feel like they don't want to make it weird or something.

I consider donor-funded OSDIP as attempts of espionage/sabotage with a piss-poor CYA layer, paid for by entities that want to stay decoupled from the criminal activities as much as possible.

I didn't understand the deal with "tokenmaxxing," but it seemed like a random trend that suddenly came out of nowhere. Some things require extreme amounts of tokens. Regular activities are not a part of those things... The things that require it can only be done with extreme amounts of tokens.

People talk about AI bubbles, but technologically, we're still developing the beginning. I get that we need to facilitate greater market activity sooner, but the tech is great. I no longer believe that there were over-promises, technologically. With enough work towards a goal, it can be achieved.

No one is necessarily "smarter" than anyone else. I wish I could say more about that. Some of this is my startup's proprietary info now. But nothing is necessarily inaccessible to any given cognitive architecture. I'll just put it that way. There isn't a "superior" one, especially not in general.

Ronald Rihoo @ronaldrihoo.bsky.social · 07/07/2026
Like, for instance, electromagnetic eavesdropping. If you don't have to worry about theft of your intellectual property or other sensitive/private info, then you probably won't come to develop ways to encrypt text in databases and keep it encrypted when processing right until you need to see it.

I largely believe that ideas don't belong to individuals, but instead they exist by processing situations of specific circumstances through the framework of the extremely-astronomical complexity of whichever type of human cognitive architecture that is observing it.

A lot of this political animosity online looks so fake. It just looks like interest groups mobilizing anonymous accounts to make it look like there's extreme political animosity in the US. And they gratuitously slip individuals in the mix who are not aligned with their interests. Very shady.

Must be researched: Effects of prolonged and/or frequent exposure of muscle, skin, and mucosa to beamformed EM waves, especially microwave and shortwave (in the same ways that Wi-Fi routers and cell towers/antennas beam EM waves). I have a feeling it dehydrates all three, but in different ways.

I repeat: oligarchy is NOT a part of our democracy. That is a misconception massaged (or manhandled) with recycled terms into some revised crap that doesn't fit. Now it's going around a bit like as if it's a fact. (It is not a fact. It's horse sh**.)

In the last couple of decades or so, some of the most annoying people had some atrocious ideas, and very annoyingly, they did the super sh**ty thing of implementing their atrocious ideas. Now we have to clean up after them, because that's what happens when annoying people implement atrocious ideas.

Sometimes, you don't know, and neither does the person, themself. When the responsibility falls on their hands, they suddenly switch to an entirely different mode of thinking and actionability. I often call this particular case "parenting mode." It's like preprogrammed and hardwired or something.

Anthropic has the right idea on the pricing model. It is not only convenient and flexible (therefore more attainable) for the customers, but it's also responsible w.r.t the health of the industry.

Dear [whoever mothers my future kids], Beware, this is me. I do this -- a lot. I'm very picky. If this will annoy you, avoid. 😂 (No worries. I'm no less picky than that in selection. I'll cover for this in multiple layers of observation. You'll probably be much better than me.)

Two of the language models' current versions suspiciously sound a lot like the sort of sh** that I say in text messages. In fact, one of them (open weights) repeats intentional data injections I've left for data thieves in my text messages. (No, it doesn't have runtime access to my text messages.)

Beamformed energy (RF and others, but especially microwave and shortwave) must be studied for effects on human tissue. I believe long and/or frequent exposure either causes tissue damage or harmful effects on or via tissue fluid.

I'm somehow stuck in between two forces that are one and the same, but are unhappy with each other. Somehow, on both sides, but yet on neither -- depending on the observer's observation. Schrödinger's XNOR in a double-slit experiment. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Migrating dozens of VMs from vultr to my new bare metal server has been a lot of fun. Fable and opus are doing all the boring crap and I get to enjoy the fun parts of having an entire r640 with 64 cpu cores and 256gb of ram. Nerd joy and stuff.

I often get premonitions of both analog and digital events, like an external harddrive that's healthy but won't work the next time I plug it in (I always sense this one and it's happened many times over the years) or a VM's bootloader won't be found the next time I try to boot it up.

If you get a sudden sense that you've hopped from Beta to Theta or Alpha -- or the likes -- in momentary glitches while awake and working, then it might be time to take a break and get a change of atmosphere. (As a founder, you know how to handle the rest of it, obviously.)

Are all American AI founders gettin' extra energy, or am I just so special? lol See, I never fall asleep at the desk, ever. Too disciplined -- for years. But when I did, I knew from that moment, and I adopted additional measures.
