Today I'm proud reveal the cover to my forthcoming collection, Pax Liminalis. Illustrated, and cover designed by, Martín E. Solís. Stories that explore the thresholds where the familiar gives way to something unsettling, unexpected, and, at times, quietly absurd. beachbookpress.com/pax-liminalis/

Cover design for short story collection "Pax Liminalis" by Ronald McGuire. The cover shows a skull with serpents slithering into the mouth and eye sockets, while bright flowers bloom around the edges of the image.

Visited Scituate light after a snow squall - grab this shot right before my fingers froze.

A black and white photo of a winter scene - a view of Scituate Lighthouse from the sea wall. A line of snow-covered boulders extends away from the camera, a tall flat seawall, and in the distance the white light tower stand in co ready to the dark brooding overcast sky. A sliver of rolling sea is visible to the left of the seawall.

Ummm…am I the only one who finds this description of the Lenny Kravitz concert on Amazon Prime more than a little suspect?

My short story collection is on sale and cracked the top 100 in the LGBT Coming of Age category on Amazon - I think that’s pretty darn cool. #BookSky

I submitted this novel to a couple of competitions - this is the first paragraph of feedback from the first round of the Launchpad Prose Competition (and yeah, I’m pretty happy about it):

It’s in the mail - 8 weeks and I will be able to both leave the country and return, without fear of getting deported back to England, from whence my people immigrated in 1619.

Behold, the Muffaco! aka “This is what happens when you forget to buy the tortillas” It’s not the strangest ingredient substitution I’ve ever made. In fact, I kinda like it. What about you? What lengths have you gone to in order to finish a recipe when you don’t have all the ingredients?

Two muffacos- English muffins covered in taco meat and a topping of shredded cheese.

Let’s remember the words of Martin Niemöller Feel free to swap or add groups as needed. Because this is how democracy dies and fascism takes over.

Great thread - thanks for starting it. How about a nice photo as a thank you?

A view of Scituate Harbor, Massachusetts. A rocky shore in the foreground, dried seagrass tufts on a small rise. Two stone sea walls one going out to sea, another in toward the harbor. Beyond the sea walls the water is blue and glittering bright what from the sun blazing down from the blue sky, scattered clouds in the distance.

How about a movie poster? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Sa...

A movie poster for the 1964 film Sant Claus Conquers the Martians. The poster is red, green and white and depicts Santa Claus pointing his finger at human-looking Martians and a boxy robot do battle with him and his elfs.
