Shouldn’t this be grounds for impeachment and treason?

Rom Parsons @romparsons.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

If a president is saying he wants an enemy to destroy an American cit, that is grounds for impeachment, if not arrest for treason

Falcons the first two weeks vs Falcons the second two weeks.

First panel shows a man saying “Call an ambulance!” Second panel shows the man with a gun saying “But not for me!”

I really enjoyed this too and wish there could be more. I wish Tim Scioli could get a crack at all those characters.

Stuff that has been considered ”slop”: Pulp and romance novels, animation, comic books, pro wrestling, sci-fi and horror movies. Hell, even Shakespeare’s plays were probably thought of that way at the time.

I’m tired of the word slop unless it’s being used to describe zero effort AI stuff.

My wife, a lifelong Bears fan, loved seeing the woman dressed like Ditka with the man dressed like Ben Johnson kissing during the game last night. We need Chuck Tingle to get on this, stat. The Chicago girls would love it.

Apparently there’s some country song that currently is a massive hit. Rolling Stone did an article that said if you‘ve never heard it, you‘re just an out of touch coastal elite.

I’m a born and raised working class Appalachian. I’ve lived in the South my entire life. I work in a warehouse in East Tennessee. I’ve never heard of that song. Or its performer.

Kennedy wasted five years begging artsy guys to direct Star Wars and none of them ever fully committed to doing it. You knew at some point Disney would demand directors who have made big money to be put in charge.

110

Rom Parsons @romparsons.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

I’ve seen a lot of “Jon Watts? Why didn’t Lucasfilm hire an experimental French director to do the next Star Wars??? Guess they’ve given up on doing anything INTERESTING!” Yo, Disney didn’t buy Star Wars to win film festivals.

I understand the “nothing happens“ mindset when it comes to politics as frustration that it seems change is impossible. As a sports fan, it cracks me up that EVERYTHING in college football has change, when it was seem impossible just six years ago. Maybe that can be of inspiration to you.

a nice little summary of our Moment gift link: www.nytimes.com/2026/09/14/o...

The philosopher Susan Neiman’s new book, “Call It Evil: Understanding the Trump Era,” is a useful companion to “Profiles in Cowardice.” Like Weisberg, Neiman wanted to explain why so many institutions caved to Trump. She believes it begins with an ethos that disdains virtue as hypocritical or naïve. “When self-interest becomes the basis of reason, evil no longer needs to justify itself,” she writes. “It’s already been mistaken for rationality.”

Neiman cites research showing that “the longer people study economics, the more selfish they become.” The reason, as she interprets it, is that they grow convinced that maximizing self-interest is normal, and that to do otherwise makes you a sucker. The more the logic of capitalism pervades the rest of life, the less room there is for compassion, honor or heroism. Maybe that’s why some of the people most financially able to defend liberal democracy have decided it’s one of the few luxuries they can live without.

Hey remember for more than a decade after 9/11 the US government and media said Al Qaeda was hiding behind every tree and bush ready to kill people? Here‘s your reminder the US government just 14 years after 9/11 then funded and armed Al Qaeda to take over Syria.

The media gave more coverage to a totally fake, invented idea that the federal government was withholding aid to Hurricane Helene victims in 2024 than to Trump actually doing it in 2025/26. Why did the fake story get more coverage than the real one?
