Blue-green algae seen from the #ZERO #sailing boat. You can also see the huge carpets of blue-green algae from the satellite. They tend to form in the Baltic Sea in August, as the Baltic Sea reaches 20 degrees in many places and the nutrient input from agriculture favours the growth of theese algae.

We arrived in Hasle near Rœnne after 2 days on the Baltic Sea island of #Bornholm. The crossing from Sweden went without a hitch, but the rollers got stuck in the recovery hose when we were hauling down the #gennaker. #sailing #denmarksaling #marinelife

Yesterday, when entering the Sound off #Copenhagen at Helsingoer, this freighter let out white smoke. At first I thought it was on fire, but after 5 minutes it stopped. Presumably it was burning heavy fuel oil that it is no longer allowed to use to enter the harbour. #sailing #Zero #pollution
