the whole section in the book is so well written and also so consistently timely. Again this book was written in *1963*.

imagine those two as statler and waldorf "What's he doing now?" "He set nurgles garden on fire and decided to be a responsible dad." "What?" "I said what I said." "Bit late for that don't you think?" "I mean there's never a bad time for him to find new ways to disappoint his kids."
Statler (Tzeentch) and Waldorf (Cegorach) laughing at the Emperor of Mankind's actions in the events of Godblight

This is a bit. it's just Statler and Waldorf

Your version of the american way of war: cringe, unscientific. My version of the anerican way of war: based on fire superiority negating manuever capabilities.
Federal artillery fields of fire at Gettysburg on the third day of the battle.

the simplest description of the "american way of war" is that graphic of every gun battery at Gettysburg and their fields of fire. Never mind standing around in a line to get shot at; just bring more artillery (and nowadays airpower) and blow them up.
