"LUNCH BREAK" -- pages 1 thru 3

Page one of "LUNCH BREAK." A man drinking coffee at a bar asks a waitress for a refill. She says no. He reflects on the service.

Page two of "LUNCH BREAK." The man at the bar asks again for a refill. The waitress tells him to ask someone else, then seats another customer.

Page three of "LUNCH BREAK." The man complains that the waitress helped another customer. The waitress explains that she helped him because it's her job, and that she doesn't want to help him, because she doesn't want to see him (his name is Jorge by the way) the way she sees her customers.

sketchbook drawings

A pen drawing of a woman sitting at a desk in a cubicle. She has her head in her hand. A man with his head peaking over the wall asks her, "how'd you sleep?" She responds, "like shit."

A pen drawing of a waitress squeezing between tables on a patio. She carries a tray of drinks and shouts, "yeah, I see you! I'll be there in one second!"

A pen drawing of a woman walking in the rain. Her dress is blowing back towards her body and folding over her legs. Her umbrella isn't helping much.

A pen drawing of three young women standing on the sidewalk. Behind them is a nondescript facade, suggesting a setting in the inner city.
