CAN THIS BE REAL? It's June, 1973, it should have been your last day of school. None of this was your fault. A zine I made for my survival horror ttrpg, The Black Alder roguecentaur.itch.io/the-black-al...

All of these comments have been getting deleted by the moderator (a long time die-hard fan) Willis is paying. So far it has been an unmitigated disaster, where only direct praise of the comic is being allowed, and even mild questions about the events on the pages are being scolded.

Oh my God this is so juicy. Of course these comments got erased immediately. And this was a comment made by one of their most die-hard fans.

Some personal headcanons I have for my Black Alder characters that are as canon as you care to make it 6/6: Boy Scout is an only child. He's always been picked on for being a crybaby. In 1972 he attended the World Scout Jamboree in Japan. His parents often argue about him. Dad thinks he's a sissy.

Some personal headcanons I have for my Black Alder characters that are as canon as you care to make it 5/6: Gold Chain is the only son and older sibling to two sisters. It feels like half the reservation has a crush on him and it's definitely gone to his head. Bruises is his nextdoor neighbor.

Some personal headcanons I have for my Black Alder characters that are as canon as you care to make it 4/6: Crutches has no siblings. Has a deep love for pop music and plays the electric organ. He's the only Asian-American in most of his classes. He uses crutches due to post-polio syndrome.

Some personal headcanons I have for my Black Alder characters that are as canon as you care to make it 3/6: Running Shoes has an older brother who got the draft and never came home. He loves singing at church and running track & field. He worries constantly about making his parents proud.

Some personal headcanons I have for my Black Alder characters that are as canon as you care to make it 2/6: Braces has a little sister and they're very close. He smokes too much weed, but teachers know he's a good kid. Often gets by thanks to his sense of humor, and recently got his first car.

Some personal headcanons I have for my Black Alder characters that are as canon as you care to make it 1/6: Bruises is the youngest of a large family. He's an icredibly angry, mouthy kid, and often bullies weaklings at school- but no one else ever got it worse from him than Boy Scout.

You find five boys close to your age lying peacefully side by side. They have nothing in common except for one thing: They look just as tired as you. Your excited dreams of a summer adventure feel so small and far away now. 🎲 roguecentaur.itch.io/the-black-al... #TheBlackAlder #TTRPG #SoloRPG

6 adolescents from 1973, Bruises, Braces, Running Shoes, Crutches, Gold Chain, and Boy Scout lie side by side, worn and ragged from the horrors they've experienced, with so much further to go.
