We seem to have springtails in the kitchen again this year. They’re extremely tiny insects that live in moist conditions and eat decaying vegetable matter and mold. 😒

Springtail, very much enlarged. They’re 1mm in size. They jump sometimes when you try to squish them.

I have finished two new monsters this week, finishing off the set of 15 new monsters. The next project is gonna be putting together the mining town of Glimlan (sprites and building interiors.) #RPG #RPGmaker #IndieDev

Animitaro, a sassy light coloured mushroom creature that hucks poison mushrooms at foes, or slaps them with its tendrils.

Silent Skuttler, a menacing looking insect with thick, meaty legs and a long, spiked trunk that can drain health from those it strikes.

The Aggressive Armor, a suit of armour animated to be a security device for people and places inhabited by the Sarbek cult. Upon fighting, they activate a regeneration effect that auto-heals it.

Large brown insect that prefers dry places. It has the ability to summon disorienting sand.

Not much more than sentient slime. It has the ability to reform itself after it was defeated by the characters 55% of the time.

A purple spiked balloon-like creature who can fly and it can charm foes with a magical attack.

A construct/robot creature that has insect traits and can fly.

Gourdy, a pumpkin possessed by a a green/yellow little ghost. It primarily attacks with magic and a berating attack that supernaturally frightens the targets.

This is the Lil Water, a water-based elemental creature that attacks by shooting highly pressured water at things, or by casting "Acid Rain" which damages the opposing group. I kind of based it off a sea sprite, a Japanese Kappa and it kind of turned out like Mochi from the "Monster Rancher" series.

The Gamdrian, a weird looking brownish creature that has features from a porcupine and tapir. They suck in their spines and shoot them out of their trunks. I'm the creator and even I don't know or want to know how that works.

Creatures made of earth and rock shaped very vaguely like a toad. They have the ability to cast some earth magic.

The Russl Tosser, a somewhat humanoid canine creature that attacks by throwing boomerangs.

The original map as it was about a week ago.

The new map has an area east of the mountain town of Glimlan done. The other area is a mountainous place southwest of Glimlan. It's the only map chunk done on the southmost part of the map. Neither area I worked on can be accessed by the characters in the beginning of the game, though.
