Roger @rogeraug.bsky.social · 30/09/2026Haven’t spoken seriously to all you folks in a while. For those living in Georgia, who are you looking at in the upcoming election for governor? I want to talk about Action Jackson running for governor. How does a man become a billionaire receiving gov money to handle medical issues for seniors? 121
Roger @rogeraug.bsky.social · 22/09/2026Being 92 is like being drunk without drinking. 😀#gettingold 070
Roger @rogeraug.bsky.social · 16/07/2026My wife treats me great. What a wonderful breakfast. Happy Thursday! 1130
Roger @rogeraug.bsky.social · 04/06/2026The reason I think things are changing is not just because women are getting used to taking care of themselves and doing a good job at it. Men have changed a lot as well. The old men ran into battle and fought in wars. Now, some men run away from bugs and sadly enough in my old age I’m one of them. 050
Roger @rogeraug.bsky.social · 10/05/2026I went to a restaurant the other day and noticed something that really struck me. So many people were sitting across from just one companion… a laptop instead of another human being. It made me stop and think about how much things have changed. 152
Roger @rogeraug.bsky.social · 07/05/2026Thought I’d remind people about the thing in the White House. Here’s some history for you. It’s going to take years to recover from the damage caused during those four years. Some of you voted for him, but the effects left behind will take years and years to repair. 2111
Roger @rogeraug.bsky.social · 20/04/2026People always ask me about the past and how it compares to today. There is no simple answer. We once thought the worst president we would ever see was Richard Nixon. As it turns out, we were wrong. 1113
Roger @rogeraug.bsky.social · 19/04/2026Hi there, it’s the old guy here. I just turned 92 years old. I feel like I am slowing down a little, but I have to keep moving forward. I wanted to take a moment to talk about my fellow New Yorker. Trump has dug a deep hole for himself, and I do not see an easy way out. 1151
Roger @rogeraug.bsky.social · 27/03/2026I turn 92 tomorrow. What a beautiful, strange journey it’s been. #birthday 11274
Roger @rogeraug.bsky.social · 05/03/2026Hi everybody. I thought I would add my two cents to this discussion about Iran. All I can do is reflect on my 91 years on this earth. I remember presidents telling the American people about small incidents our country was getting involved in, like Iraq and Afghanistan. 🇺🇸 1111
Roger @rogeraug.bsky.social · 25/01/2026I just read a beautiful story about a guy named Steve Pruitt. He shared that whenever he was searching for new goals or a new career path, he chose sales. Sales was how he grew, expanded, and kept moving forward. 150
Roger @rogeraug.bsky.social · 11/01/2026Great news. Seventeen Republicans joined Democrats to approve the Affordable Care Act. Now we need the Senate to follow through. I think they will, especially with a little pressure from their constituents. 89315
Roger @rogeraug.bsky.social · 05/01/2026In all my years watching football, last night's Ravens vs. Steelers game was one of the absolute best. Truly a classic. 🏈 #NFL #Ravens #Steelers 1100
Roger @rogeraug.bsky.social · 15/12/2025Sad to see the Kansas City Chiefs get eliminated from the playoffs. Even though I live in Atlanta and reluctantly support the Falcons, I was still pulling for KC. I guess I’m left rooting for my favorite NCAA team, the UConn Huskies women’s basketball squad. 🏀 170
Roger @rogeraug.bsky.social · 30/11/2025When I was a young boy, I had the opportunity to spend a lot of time with my uncle Lee. He probably influenced me more than anybody else in my life. He taught me how to be bold, how to be aggressive when it mattered, and not to be afraid of anyone. (1/5) 1111
Roger @rogeraug.bsky.social · 16/11/2025Haven’t posted in a while, so here’s an update. I saw three doctors in three days last week, which was a bit harrowing, but I made it through in one piece. One of them asked if getting older is stressful. I told him honestly it’s not exactly what it’s cracked up to be. 180
Roger @rogeraug.bsky.social · 29/10/2025Another eye lid surgery today. Might be a minute before I jump back on or reply. This will be the fourth eye lid surgery this year. Wish me luck. 5130
Roger @rogeraug.bsky.social · 20/10/2025That was great that young people were out in force on Saturday. This is just the beginning though. It got everyone’s attention. The maga people know they have to stop this now. They realize they cannot let this become a national movement that spreads and gains real power. 1102
Roger @rogeraug.bsky.social · 16/10/2025I hope everyone gets out there this Saturday for the No Kings protest. Don’t let fear or doubt keep you home. I’ve seen a lot in 91 years, and change only happens when people stand up and are counted. The civil rights movement proved that. Your voice still matters—use it! 1163
Roger @rogeraug.bsky.social · 15/10/2025When I was 14, I got brave and asked my dad for a few dollars. He looked me dead in the eye and said, “I’ll loan it to you, but you’ll have to find a way to pay me back.” That one line stuck with me — it wasn’t just about money; it was about learning how to earn. 1121
Roger @rogeraug.bsky.social · 13/10/2025Friday night I sat up all night watching that Seattle Mariners and Detroit Tigers game that went on forever. I fell asleep, woke up, and it was still on. I could not believe how long it lasted. Baseball sure can test your patience sometimes. 180
Roger @rogeraug.bsky.social · 08/10/2025I see a lethargic sentiment settling over this country that I have never seen before. It scares the hell out of me. I am 91 and this country is in bad shape. Take MAGA Republicans. Does anyone really know what they want? There is a deep longing to go back to a time when everyone knew their place. 491
Roger @rogeraug.bsky.social · 25/09/2025Sorry I haven’t posted in a while. I had an eye procedure last week, and my vision’s been blurry, but I thought I’d check in. Glad to see Jimmy Kimmel back. It makes me think of shows that pushed boundaries, like the Smothers Brothers in the ’60s, who clashed with CBS over politics. 1110
Roger @rogeraug.bsky.social · 18/09/2025Getting another eyelid surgery tomorrow. Hoping the 3rd time is the charm. Wish me luck. 170
Roger @rogeraug.bsky.social · 16/09/2025In the early 60s, I was appointed National Sales Manager at ECPI. I was proud, but also stunned—no Black man had ever held that role in an all-white company. The president told me, “Don’t blame me for the hell you’re about to encounter. Be strong and trust your instincts.” 2132
Roger @rogeraug.bsky.social · 15/09/2025If you think you’ve seen the worst of Trump, you haven’t. He’s still trying to get Congress fully on his side, and if that happens, next year we’ll see some truly dark stuff that will shock people. 1172
Roger @rogeraug.bsky.social · 13/09/2025Back in the early 1960s, I was national sales manager for ECPI. Whenever I visited a city with one of our schools, I’d take the sales crew to dinner. One time, a rep suggested an upscale restaurant. Seven of us, dressed sharp, arrived with a reservation, ready to eat. 162
Roger @rogeraug.bsky.social · 09/09/2025Well folks, what I feared is here. The Supreme Court just gave Trump power to stop and search people based on looks. Doesn’t this echo the early Nazi regime, when anyone suspected of being Jewish was stopped? Our country falls when the Court sides with a lunatic leader. 0123
Roger @rogeraug.bsky.social · 08/09/2025Watched the Falcons game today. It was a good one overall. But when it came down to a 37 yard field goal to force overtime I had déjà vu. Last year Koo missed 5 crucial kicks, and I thought here we go again. I tried to place a bet online. Sure enough the kick hit the post. The legend continues. 040
Roger @rogeraug.bsky.social · 05/09/2025Switched from T-Mobile to Mint and I have to say I'm impressed. My son was paying $180 for all of our phones per month, now my phone bill is $180 every year. The call quality is just as good. If anyone is on the fence about switching, give these low-cost providers a shot. 1102
Roger @rogeraug.bsky.social · 26/08/2025The weaknesses Trump is taking advantage of will one day be fixed, making our system stronger and fairer. My only question, at 91, is whether I’ll live long enough to see it. I hope I do, because if elections hold, this nation still has the ability to protect itself and live up to its promise. 1233
Roger @rogeraug.bsky.social · 24/08/2025I went to my eye doctor to chat about eyelid surgery scheduled in September. It’s the same procedure I had last year, but that doctor didn’t do it right after two tries. He even wanted a third attempt, but I declined and chose a new doctor instead. Do your due diligence and avoid Thomas Eye Group. 081
Roger @rogeraug.bsky.social · 22/08/2025Trump’s plan to gain control of our country is clear. Those who voted for him will feel the tariffs and his vengeful attacks. He’s a spoiled New York brat who only knows vengeance, never honest effort. I wonder what America will look like when he’s done. 1141
Roger @rogeraug.bsky.social · 13/08/2025Need to send everyone a big hello. I am still alive and kicking. Thinking back to when we had a bad president, Richard Nixon. Now we have someone I see as the next Hitler, using troops in DC to distract from Epstein, test the waters, & tighten control. This is not ok. People need to hit the streets! 1144
Roger @rogeraug.bsky.social · 22/07/2025Just had coffee with my son. Nobody talked to anyone. Silence, screens, and solitude. It felt like a mausoleum. What happened to conversation? To meeting people? Real friendships start with talking. The internet cannot replace human connection. So sad to see. 2171
Roger @rogeraug.bsky.social · 20/07/2025Need to vent I am still very concerned about this so called Epstein papers There is no way it’s going to be controversial because there’s too many concerns about rich guys having sex with children There is no way that ever becomes fully public. 181
Roger @rogeraug.bsky.social · 25/06/2025In my 90-plus years, I have never seen a president curse on camera like this one. Parents will have a hard time telling their kids to look up to him. He acts like he is still on the streets of New York. He is taking this country down a dark road. 1182
Roger @rogeraug.bsky.social · 19/06/2025People are asking what’s the next step in this fight for our survival as a country. Here are my thoughts as an old warrior. Let them throw the next punch. Trump will do something to win the next round. He must fix the divide among his base over Iran or fall further behind the eight ball. 1184
Roger @rogeraug.bsky.social · 17/06/2025Don’t you think it’s hilarious that a man who claimed bone spurs to dodge the draft now salutes the flag like a hero? I wonder if his feet feel better after skipping service. He has perfected the salute but it will take more than that to be a real leader. 2134
Roger @rogeraug.bsky.social · 16/06/2025Thanks to the No Kings group for showing up Saturday. Trump looked crushed his MAGA crew didn’t show. Some voters now say they regret supporting him. Too late for that but another election’s coming. Think before you vote next time. It matters. 2195
Roger @rogeraug.bsky.social · 11/06/2025I’ve been thinking about our mutual friend Donald Dipsh… and I’ve noticed something alarming. He is dismantling our government piece by piece. We need to stop him at all costs. Young people, this may be your time. It may be now or never. 1141
Roger @rogeraug.bsky.social · 08/06/2025I remember as a kid we went to the movies on weekends. We saw two films plus a serial, which was a short movie shown weekly with a continuing story and a cliffhanger to bring us back. Movietone News was our only way to see world leaders and important events. 1101
Roger @rogeraug.bsky.social · 01/06/2025All you young people, the time is coming. Trump, as I predicted, will ignore the Supreme Court’s rulings on key issues. The Supreme Court does not have an army but Trump does. Look how they ignored the court order to bring that young man back from San Salvador. I am watching closely. Get ready… 0174
Roger @rogeraug.bsky.social · 30/05/2025I was chatting with a young person who said every time they succeed, they feel like taking a break, celebrating. I told them I never felt that way. I always felt like something was chasing me. So I kept running. Fast. I used that fear as motivation. 1113
Roger @rogeraug.bsky.social · 27/05/2025I don’t know how to talk to young Trump people. What did you expect to gain from a narcissistic charlatan who only thinks of himself? He is setting up his oldest son to take over the Trump Empire, which will be worth a fortune by the end of his term thanks to MAGA voters. 1131
Roger @rogeraug.bsky.social · 15/05/2025I started thinking about one of the many jobs I had. In the 1950s, I was sent to collect soldiers who went AWOL and later surrendered in Italy. Every one of them was sorry, crying, ashamed, facing 5 to 10 years with no time off for good behavior. A lifetime of ruin. #lifeLessons #veteran #advice 2161
