Who at the BBC felt this guy was the one to talk about munitions shortfalls from an US administration perspective? Does he seem like a serious, knowledgeable person? Enough of these nonsense stunt talking heads. Where do they find them?
A goofy looking young white guy with slightly schwoopy short light brown hair, a bright blue sport coat and a ridiculous bolo string tie with a turquoise colored stone. He would not shut up despite his obvious lack of knowledge.

Visiting Zwolle, resisting the temptation to ask, “Heb je Arne Slot gezien?” #LFC
A river runs through an urban city, with a fountain in the middle and a large artsy sign with white letters that reads Zwolle

Here’s someone whose reasoning I don’t understand.
From the NYT on July 16. A report from Nate Schweber around 5 pm EDT.
“Despite the smoke worsening in New York City on Thursday afternoon, Nikhil Patel, 30, did not hesitate to push his 10-month-old son around Carl Schurz Park on the Upper East Side. ‘The park’s still nice, it’s a beautiful day, and he’s got to get out.’”

I can’t be the only person who would be tempted to pass dear S22 (and also possibly S31), students who obviously didn’t use AI and performed like normal people on both. S22 even did better under more difficult conditions! I’d be like Willy Wonka, giving Charlie Bucket here the factory keys.
A graph from the re-posted article showing that the vast majority of students in a class scored far lower on an in-person exam compared to a midterm in which many are suspected of using AI. Student S22 stands out for scoring a 55 on the midterm and a 59 on the in-person final.

No one is going to look the same as when they were younger, but it bothers me that Susan Dell looks quite unwell in the video below, and in need of something other than a national stage.
A woman with medium length dark blonde hair, blue eyes, wearing a black dress and silver jewelry. She appears to be of a thin but healthy weight and none of her facial features are distorted by plastic surgery.

We have ~100 cat toys in various rooms/toy boxes, some from this guy’s brothers he never met (RIP). And yet, he’s been occupied for 30 minutes with a hair tie of mine he stole 3 weeks ago and hid for safekeeping. His “prize.”
A black and tan tabby cat lies on his side on a cream colored carpeted floor by a brown wood door, reaching for a black elastic hair tie.

Hoping today makes Ian McCulloch happy (and also me), but I will settle for us not being made sad. #LFC
Ian McCulloch, lead singer of Echo & the Bunnymen, sits on a tiled floor with a blue area rug. He wears blue jeans, a sage colored light trench coat, a grey shirt over a black t-shirt, and, most importantly, a Liverpool Football Club scarf.

I desperately want Arne Slot and Liverpool #LFC to succeed, but his bizarre, last-ditch substitutions where half the players are out of position baffle me. It always feels like this:
Ecce Homo, the painting of Jesus in Spain that was grossly disfigured as a result of an attempted restoration by an 81-year-old elderly town resident.

Sorry for the lack of specificity. This is what was sent out. In support of your point, if these kinds of papers are sending out email blasts, it should pave the way for even our most cowardly politicians to call for removal.
An emailed news alert from the Oakland Press in Oakland County, Michigan. The article features a photo of former President Obama sitting next to President Trump. The title of the article is “Trump shares a racist video that depicts the Obamas as primates.” Text underneath it reads, “Trump’s post has drawn backlash of the nation’s first Black president and first lady. READ STORY”

Post a car picture you took.
A shiny dark blue Citroen DS21 4-door with silver roof, likely from the late 1960s. The car is positioned on a brick street in Utrecht, NL. Behind the car is a traditional Dutch scene with bicycles locked to a metal railing around a canal, behind which are brick and grey-fronted narrow buildings, in traditional Dutch styles.

Saw this yesterday in Troy, MI, outside Detroit, still up and plastered to the front of this house, and wondered why.

Perhaps things have changed, but this sounds like a prescription for an anti-establishment youth counterculture. Has this man seen no movies where the youth rise up against “the man”? I dunno, I’d be careful. Then again, one of my favorite movies is Over the Edge.
Scene from the 1979 film Over the Edge in which the teenage characters Richie White (Matt Dillon) and Carl Willat (Michael Kramer) are hassled and frisked while up against a police car by the overly authoritarian Sergeant Doberman (Harry Northup).

People joked about this when Trump held up babies, but I do think Elon may intentionally be using his son as a shield, always at head level, etc.
In the movie The Dead Zone, Martin Sheen’s political candidate character holds up a baby to shield himself from attack.

Ah! Thank you! We’ll definitely visit! We usually make a stop at the father-son used bookseller, the comics shop, and the restaurant Bis, all on a nearby street. Haarlem is a friendly, warm place. For example, elderly woman saw us peeking through this fence, greeted us, and told us the history.
A beautiful Dutch building with a clock on it, behind a well-trimmed front garden. The photo is a view through a fence with iron rails. A sign on the fence reads, “Bezichtiging van het Hof via de groene deur,” which means, “Viewing of the court through the green door.” A door can be seen on the right side that leads to a court that is only open on occasion.

Here’s an example from Zürich, where, at nearly any time in the city center, one is only steps (ha ha) away from fondue, raclette, bratwurst, and/or chocolate. Ask me how I know. 😋
A view from the bottom of Trittligasse in Zürich, a very steep, narrow pedestrian urban street with a set of well-maintained shallow steps on the right, extending as far as the eye can see.

The Secret Service has to be accustomed to this to allow such close body contact from a non-family member, right? Plus, Loomer is an unhinged person who could easily shank him. I could easily see her with those little knives that pop out of the cups of a bra or something.
A photo of that terrible racist Islamaphobe Laura Loomer smiling and pressing her body and breast to the torso and groin of a sweaty, florid, unkempt Donald Trump in his red MAGA hat and white golf shirt. She posted it to her own Twitter account in August 2023 with a heart eyes emoji. Seems sus!

I admittedly sometimes visit the bad place, as some people I like (not famous, but people in my fields of study or local folks) post there (and not here, at least often). Thus, I collected another exhibit for the “Diane Warren is an insufferable narcissist” file @theferocity.bsky.social, to wit:
A Christina Aguilera fan on Twitter commented on the 24th anniversary of the song “I Turn to You,” and Diane retweets it and says, “I wrote it when I was 5!”
