I dug up some really old art from my childhood. Barely know what any of these are about. I think I drew them during the early 2000s. I'm thinking of having a stream where I redraw these.

Pencil drawing of a group of adventurers.

Pencil drawing of a figure in samurai armor.

Yeah sure... Cuz that's what souls players want, bosses with BS unlearnable movesets. We all secretly just wanna play a fighting game honestly. 🙄

About Malfoid. I don't care much for the potterverse but I am convinced that if you turn an annoying or bratty male character into a cute anime girl, the results will always be viral.

One of the many rabbit holes I've been obsessing with is Shinto Mythology. I read about how the original gods of earth called the Kunitsugami has basically been usurped by the gods of heaven, Amatsugami (Basically the ones we know like Amaterasu Susanoo etc.). Basically Shinto Ragnarok.

Photographed by Stéphane Barbery, this portrait captures Noh actor Matsuno Hiroyuki portraying Shizuka Gozen in the classical drama Funabenkei (船弁慶).

In deep monochrome contrast, a Noh actor partially reveals a serene, sculpted Noh mask from behind a painted folding fan (ōgi). Crowned with a black ceremonial tate-eboshi cap and wearing a lavishly woven karaori robe, the performer holds the fan—adorned with delicate chrysanthemums and cherry blossoms—to frame half his face in quiet contemplation. The intricate geometric patterns, tortoiseshell motifs, and maple leaves embroidered into the silk create a tactile interplay of luster and deep shadow against the dark background, drawing the eye into a space of dramatic tension. The smooth, lacquered surface of the mask catches the light, isolating the figure in a moment of stillness.
his portrait captures Noh actor Matsuno Hiroyuki portraying Shizuka Gozen in the classical drama Funabenkei (船弁慶). Authored by Kanze Kojirō Nobumitsu, the play recounts the heartbreaking separation of warrior Minamoto no Yoshitsune from his mistress Shizuka Gozen, followed by a sea voyage disrupted by the vengeful ghost of Taira no Tomomori. In the opening act, Shizuka Gozen performs a farewell dance to pray for Yoshitsune's safety, conveying both sorrow and quiet dignity. The carved cypress mask (hinoki) and Nishijin brocade karaori robe represent the heritage of Japanese monozukuri (traditional artisanal craftsmanship), preserving centuries-old techniques of textile and mask design.
