Shepherds! The trip to Bucks County Fur Products has been delayed a week. We will be going down July 2-4. The temporary housing we are in has a showing this Saturday. Maybe, sometime, normal life will resume. Sorry for the delay.

It is time for the next trip to Bucks County Fur Products. The pelts dropped off this winter should be done in another week. We will be leaving on June 25th. Please message me if you have pelts to go down so I can tell you where to drop them off. Same as always, $10 a pelt round trip.

Ya know, sometimes, life is just not fair. Not only has the landlord just told us he’s filing eviction paperwork tomorrow, but we found out early this morning that one of Patty’s brothers died last night. It’s getting very difficult to have a positive outlook on anything.

Almost done! Can anyone help me out this Sunday? I have a bit more wire to pull then to use the tractor and pull the wood posts out of the ground. The landlord is hassling us. How many farmers can pull out of their farm in 10 weeks? For the most part, by themselves? This is ridiculous.

I cannot thank Ann, Tami, Owen, and Stan for coming out and helping us this weekend get most of the pasture fence picked up. Still have a lot to do but, wow! Back to inside packing during rainy days. Hopefully, I can get the posts out of the ground next weekend.

I never ask for help from our followers here at the farm, but I am pretty desperate. This Saturday, 10am, I will be out in the pasture pulling fences. I have the tractor and the tools to make it easy but I need more help. We have less than 2 weeks to get out and still packing out the house, too.

Many thanks to Paul at Windy Ridge Fiber Farm for boarding my flock. This is one of the hardest days I’ve had in a very long time. All the sheep are now off our farm. I just pray and hope that I can get our new farm financed and we can all be together again. Greedy people upend families and lives.

Many thanks to blacksmith brother, Jay, for helping to get all the ironwork loaded this morning. The wood cook stove, forge, anvil, and wood shop stove are all up in the trailer. Hate thinking about not being able to use them for quite some time.

It has been a rough new year here on the farm. Yesterday, Lily left us. She was the matriarch of the flock and one of the last Kaylin named from the Harry Potter books. She was so thin from liver disease. It was for her best but I will so miss her need for back scratches every time she saw me.

It’s Shearing Day this Saturday, March 7th! We are looking for some volunteers to come and help out! We will feed you! Shearing is about 10am so we need folks between 9:30 - 9:45am. It will be fun and educational! Most know that I had emergency eye surgery on Feb 14 and I can’t do a lot of lifting.

Oh, the joys of living in a snow state! We received about 18” of very fluffy snow last night and today. I got the drive plowed enough for now and pretty it up tomorrow. Between that and hauling 50 gal of water to the barn every day, I’m exhausted!

Thoughts and prayers are needed for our little Englebert. He is inside in hospital. He has a bad heart murmur and unable to nurse. We got him warmed up and are tube feeding him. It’s hard to know if he’ll make it through the night but, we’ll keep him comfy.
