You're so busy with your stupid little "gotcha" attempts. asshole, you're failing to notice what has already been posted.

Supersonic retropropulsion, shithead, has been studied since the sixties: Putnam, L. and Capone, F., “Experimental Determination of Equivalent Solid Bodies to Represent Jets Exhausting into a Mach 2.20 External Stream,” NASA TN-D-5553, December 1969. ntrs.nasa.gov/api/citation...

The sat deployment does absolutely nothing towards the HLS goals of this vehicle. Nothing at all. They do not have a reusable rocket. They do not have a lunar rocket or lander. They have an LEO sat dispenser. That's not what NASA bought.

New Glenn uses pure propellants with heat exchangers. SpaceX's stubbornly stupid use of combustion gases for autogenous pressurization still leads to ice clogging that resulted in the loss of the Super Heavy.

Do some fucking research, asshole. SpaceX isn't doing jackshit that's new. Supersonic retropropulsion has been studied since the sixties, dipshit.

The mesh size, dickhead, is determined by the size of the ice chunks.

Oh my god. You are such a fucking moron. Nobody, dipshit, builds a rocket until they've done the math.

Rocket Propulsion Elements by George P. Sutton was first published in 1949. It is currently on its 11th edition. It has been used to train generations of rocket engineers. Not one fucking thing you said is described as "impractical" is even mentioned in the book.

100 kg is only 220 lbs, dipshit. An RS-25 weigh 7,000 lbs. A heat exchanger, moron, accounts for only 3% of an RS-25's mass. "The mesh filters in the tank are several hundred kilograms." Where do you get that shit? What do you think the frames for the ice filters are made out of?
100
Franklin Ratliff @rocketplane.bsky.social · 17h
You have no fucking clue what actual engineering is because you're too scared or stupid to read an actual rocketry textbook. That's why you say a lot of ignorant space cadet shit. Rocket engineering is MATH, dickhead. What do you think all those equations in Rocket Propulsion Elements are for?

These dinky little cold gas thrusters can't do shit for precision rendezvous and docking.

To maintain positive suction pressure and ensure bubble-free flow to the turbopumps during critical maneuvers like the landing flip or burn, SpaceX relies on high-pressure gas stored in onboard COPV cylinders.
000
Franklin Ratliff @rocketplane.bsky.social · 17h
COPV Pressurization: When the main engines shut down (such as during coast phases, reentry, or prior to reignition for landing burns), autogenous gas generation stops and the remaining gas can cool or condense.
000
Franklin Ratliff @rocketplane.bsky.social · 17h
The header tanks in the Starship and Super Heavy vehicles are pressurized primarily using autogenous (self-generated) pressurization during engine operation and Carbon Overwrapped Pressure Vessels (COPVs) storing high-pressure gas when engines are off.

Franklin Ratliff @rocketplane.bsky.social · 17h
New Glenn uses heat exchangers, dipshit. You don't have the least fucking clue how much heat exchangers would weigh compared to the enormous heavy ice filters Starship currently needs because they're injecting combustion gases into cryogenic tanks.

In New Glenn the system takes liquid propellant from the tanks (such as liquefied natural gas or liquid oxygen). The liquid propellant passes through heat exchangers or engine components where it is heated up and turned back into a high-pressure gas. NO COMBUSTION GASES SO NO WATER.

You still talk like you think you're an equal in this conversation. All you know is the propaganda crap you get from following SpaceX.
000
Franklin Ratliff @rocketplane.bsky.social · 20h
"It's tapped off from the preburner, so still about 97% pure O2." That dumb as fuck approach is why there's water in the gas that creates the ice requiring those gigantic ice filters and why nobody else -- including Blue Origin -- uses preburner tapoff for autogenous pressurization.
000
Franklin Ratliff @rocketplane.bsky.social · 20h
We don't know shit about whether they can use header tanks. That's just speculation. It's still a garbage approach to performing the precision maneuvers needed for rendezvous and docking.

Starship going into orbit without independent self-contained RCS/OMS is delusional, stupid, and dangerous. Just one split seam and that piece of crap rocket is instant space junk.

Tim Dud is a moron. To get ullage gas that won't make ice you use CH4 for the CH4 tanks and LOX for the LOX tanks and use heat exchangers heated by preburner exhaust to turn them into ullage gas. www.youtube.com/watch?v=LeKY...

New Glenn, dipshit, uses pure propellant vapor not combustion gases for autogenous pressurization.
000
Franklin Ratliff @rocketplane.bsky.social · 03/10/2026
That is just horseshit and rationalizing bad design. They're losing engines because some dipshit thought it was a good idea to use combustion gases instead of pure propellant vapor for autogenous pressurization. New Glenn doesn't use combustion gases for autogenous pressurization.

Franklin Ratliff @rocketplane.bsky.social · 03/10/2026
Textbook perfect would be no engine losses. Every engine loss puts them one engine loss closer to mission failure. They didn't complete the planned number of orbits due to engine losses.
