Striking the right balance between medieval and futuristic was challenging for the Heroes, but that's the whole juice of science fantasy after all. For the ship, a huge inspiration were the fish-like designs of John Berkey. Perfect for Memonek vessels, if you ask me

Delving into this old school megadungeon. Facing a band of goblin at level 1 was not a great idea. Two characters deaths in the first session - easily replaced, but we end up victorious and with a new goblin guide. Best intro ever. Until a few years ago it'd have been unthinkable for my 5e mind

I wanted to portray how a high elf in space would definitely go crazy for futuristic fashion, ending up with a unique and creative blend of cyberpunk techwear, shiny sneakers and full-plate medieval armor. “I’ve found the Upper ‘folds lacking in everything except fashion, ships…and blades”

Throwback to 2023, when I was still an intern and I was doing Draw Steel fancomics while following the development of the game. I eventually had to stop due to the game being literally too fluid to capture (remember multi-turn casting?) Now game is out! Might turn AoU into an actual comic after all…

I like MCDM’s idea of Devils being the real deal - horns and hooves and wings and tail and glowy eyes. I wanted to dial it up to eleven! And I wanted an interesting pose. Somehow I always find myself referencing Berserk for more sinister stuff. Making her a prisoner? Totally Andor’s fault.

This time I had too many influences and it was hard to land on the premise of this project: clean & punchy comic-style designs, without too much baroque complexity. The idea of a holy avenger really is enticing though, and I wonder if I won’t end up trying my hand at an Adjudicator 4, or 7, or…0!

I was influenced by Draw Steel’s default Rivals to create a sniper mastermind. While looking for inspiration, my mind juxtaposed UNISOL and SHIELD together, and I thought of Maria Hill as the iconic agent. Still, I needed more grit to it. I casually drew a buzz cut hairstyle… and Furiosa followed.
