Please enjoy this post from our friends at Flower City Free Clinic
Flower City Free Clinic

We're a free health clinic started by community members with different backgrounds and skills to provide health care to the unhoused and disadvantaged community. We do mobile clinics covering: Monroe, RTS and downtown, North Clinton, and Lyell Ave. We also do a bimonthly foot & general drop-in clinic 11AM-2PM at Asbury MethodistWhat we're doing:

We provide wound care, health & wellness checks, clinic referrals, information on support and resources, and assistance accessing care.

Street outreach in high-need areas and visits to encampments and shelters.

Harm reduction supply provision, HIV testing, safe injection education

Reproductive health supplies, information, referrals to resources.

Foot clinic at Asbury methodist bimonthly 11AM-2PM (next is December 14th) for practitioner-level foot care and general medical clinic with fully-stocked clinical care rooms, facilities, access to social services.

During Code Blue we help people with warmer clothes, gear, and high-calorie food, and information/assistance accessing shelters and warming centers. Please read up on Code Blue to learn how to help your neighbors this winter!

Providing medical cover, first aid, wound care at other group outreach events.

Health education and training in wound care/first aid/harm reduction

Rapid response to unhoused or vulnerable people identified as being in need of care/support, health-related or otherwise. We connect with several outreach groups and networks to provide a web of safety for at-risk individuals. What we need most:

Blankets, gloves, coats, warm clothes for our winter outreach efforts. We've already lost one unhoused neighbor to exposure/hypothermia.

Sleeping bags & winter boots especially!

Foot clinics: any/all nail and foot care items, antifungal cream or powder, socks

Medical supplies: bandages, gauze, antibiotic ointment, gloves, and more - check out the supply drive at scan.page/Ml9T4z

Any hygiene items - deodorants, wipes, etc.

High-calorie snacks

All supplies can be donated at the Flying Squirrel or Asbury Methodist, clearly labelled "for FCFC". Pick can also be arranged via email at flowercityfreeclinic@gmail.com

Please send cash donations via venmo to @FlowerCityFreeClinic

Free Grocery Pop Up

On Saturday, November 1st, 2025, from 3PM-6PM, we will be hosting a free grocery pop up at St. Joseph's Park on the corner of North Clinton Avenue and Pleasant Street!

We will have shelf-stable kitchen staples, personal hygiene supplies, harm reduction supplies, and fresh produce.Food Not Bombs' Saturday serve will begin around 6:30PM across the street at the Transit Center. If you would like to enjoy a meal provided by them, please consider stopping over to see them after the grocery pop up ends!If you're planning on driving to the pop up, please park on the Pleasant Street side of the park. There will be much less traffic on that side of the park and it will make it much easier to attend the pop up.If you are able to, please consider offering a ride to the pop up, or coming on someone else's behalf. Our elderly population in particular can have a hard time making it to events like this, so please try to lend a hand to a neighbor if you're able to!

Today we served food at the local event for Daniel's Day in addition to our usual serve at Rochester Transit Center (RTS). There was chili at Daniel's Day and pasta with fake meat at our usual serve. All vegan, of course. #DanielsDay #rochester #foodNotBombs
A view of the top of the serving table, with a big ol' pot of chili and a big cooler of drinks. This photo is from the Daniel's Day serve.A view from behind the table. Some folks behind the table are helping serve food, while others on the other side help themselves. A crowd is visible milling around in the background. I must not discourse. Discourse is the mind-killer. Discourse is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face the discourse. I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
