I’m making a browser extension called Safe Badge to let you know which Twitch streamers have disabled Gen AI training. This is an honor system as there’s no way to verify it. But it’s better than nothing. The extension isn’t finished yet but you can give yourself the badge here: safebadge.ori.mx

A screenshot of the browser extension showing the Safe Badge next to a streamer name. The badge is labelled “Gen AI disabled”. The icon displays as a green circle with a diagonal line through it.

If you are unaware, Twitch has, by default, opted you in to allowing them to use your content for training generative AI models. Opt out at the bottom of your settings page - twitch.tv/settings/security This is my announcement that my streams are not going to be used to train Gen AI. #GenAIOptOut

Pun N Fun Otter’s first annual Punathon, their own take on a subathon. Starts August 19th and can potentially last all September.

The games that will be played will be random and be played through Archipelago.

Why not just got after the account instead of the device itself? Eventually it won’t work without the updates. 🤷‍♀️ I know people can make new accounts and other consoles have been bricked before for various reasons, but it seems a bit wild. The question of ownership still lingers. More like renting.

RobynLayn @robynlayn.bsky.social · 03/07/2026

@nintendousa.bsky.social can brick your Switch 2 console whenever, @xbox.com is following suit with @playstation.com for digital only consoles in the future, and we are all left with the potential of not playing the titles that we pay for. 🤷‍♀️

RobynLayn @robynlayn.bsky.social · 03/07/2026

None of it is new news. This direction into a digital-only phase of gaming is not great. Especially when you are still paying full price and can potentially have nothing to show for it. The fact that nothing has a guarantee to be played/used is wild to me. @playstation.com
