NASA just dropped 12,000 photos from the Artemis II mission. Too many to add to ArtemisTimeline.com, so I just put up a tool at ArtemisTimeline.com/vote so that people can vote on small batches allowing for all of the images to be sorted! (yes, I posted this before, but I had to fix something!)

I will not vote to give ICE a single penny under its corrupt leadership. ICE is making our communities less safe and when the Homeland Security appropriations bill, which contains ICE funding, comes to the Floor in the coming days, I will be a strong NO vote.

Awful: Trump's $230 million shakedown from DOJ can be paid to him confidentially at first, without the public ever finding out about it until later, Rep Jamie Raskin tells me. Raskin will formally demand full communications between WH and DOJ on this. New from me: newrepublic.com/article/2021...

Trump’s Vile New $230 Million Shakedown of DOJ Just Got Even Worse
It’s bad enough that Trump wants—and DOJ will likely fork over—this tribute payment. Now, get this: It can probably be done at first without even being revealed publicly.

Every few months now I re-read this "Who Goes Nazi?" piece from 1941 and am blown away by how it captures the people we are dealing with 80 years later. harpers.org/archive/1941...

Ahead of the case caption, a handwritten note: "Trump has pardons and tanks . . . . what do you have?" Judge Young's reply: "Dear Mr. or Ms. Anonymous,
Alone, I have nothing but my

Together, We the People of the

Here’s how that works out in a

When I was 7 years old, Cal Ripken broke Lou Gehrig’s record in the 2131 game — an iconic night for impressionable kids. Back then, I really thought the Iron Man was invincible. Now, 30 years later, I talked with my childhood hero about the truth of the Streak: www.thebanner.com/sports/oriol...

Valued users! We understand that over the past 250-odd years, you have come to rely on the services provided by the U.S. of A.: postal delivery, representative government, edible food, clean water, lifesaving vaccines, and no kings—ever, guaranteed. Well, 250 years of free is enough.

So you've decided you want to lead with integrity! That's cute. Oh, you're serious? Cool. Just know that it's expensive, lonely, and rarely gets you promoted. Come meet the idiot archetypes we become while trying to survive in a system that doesn't care. open.substack.com/pub/jamesjbo...

New post up, with a bunch of thoughts on what drives me personally, and my own 40-year career (h/t @lethain.com). I have a pretty unusual life story. But one of the reasons I love the tech industry so much is how common unusual stories like mine have historically been. charity.wtf/2025/07/09/t...

Kenyan #journalist Alvin Kaunda was reporting live from Nairobi when a curious baby #elephant, Kindani, decided to join the broadcast. The playful elephant stuck her trunk in Alvin's mouth, making for a hilarious moment! A joyful reminder of wildlife's charm and the work of the Sheldrick Trust!
