Visited Pisa recently and, all of a sudden, while inside the Battistero di San Giovanni, this woman commanded 'silenzio!' before projecting her voice around the acoustically perfect interior. A shaft of sunlight pierced through a window at that exact moment. Got my phone out like a right tourist.

I think the best thing is to not plan too much, and to just drive. You'll discover endless incredible places. There are loads of parking spots (Scotland wants you to explore it) so if you see something interesting just stop and take a look.
