What would probably help build interest in Cake Maker is if I showed you all the main menu! This is how it looks in dev build .8.43. It might get a little bit of change for release but here's a peak into Tom's bakery! #gamedev #indiedev #indiegamdev Spoiler for those who want it to be a surprise.

Charlotte stands to the left of the main menu text and Tom stands to the right of it. Charlotte slouches and shares a small smile while Tom beams cheerily waving his baking mitt covered left hand. Tom is clearly standing on some kind of platform to be in frame. Behind them is the front counter of Tom's bakery; a glass and wood counter with treats in it, a register, a taller side counter with an old metal pitcher holding sunflowers. Behind the counter is a shelf with jars, various framed signs, a black and white photo of Tom and his wife, the chalkboard menu and a drawing Tom's son made of their family. The wall paper is green with vertical stripes.

When you're showing off to impress the delivery girl's cat.

Fukuo, Osono's Husband, spins two trays of dough on his index fingers. He is poised and serious as he shows off. He stands at a counter, in front of a short window and a low upper shelf.

Fukuo, puts down the trays and lifts his hands with a flourish. He sneaks a little peak over his left shoulder to see Gigi's reaction without moving his head.

Gigi, Kiki's small black cat, is blown away by Fukuo's outstanding tray handling skill. He sits by the corner of the door frame. His tail is straight up, his eyes wide and his small mouth open as he realizes he is in the presence of a master.

Design question for female followers. In an earlier character design one of my characters wore a simple black choker because she likes to feel a little pretty. She wears a few bracelets for the same reason. My question is are chokers seen as a suggestive accessory now? #characterdesign

Tom Poplin is the owner and main baker of Poplin's Bakery. He's the second character in the game I'm making. I went through roughly 3 designs before hitting what I felt was the right tone for Tom. I wanted him to look like a simple, little fun guy. #indiegamedev #characterdesign #gameart

Tom Poplin is a gnome with a muppet like nose and little dot eyes. He has a softly shaped beard, mustache and eyebrows. He wears a long blue shirt and brown tucked pants, remiscent of traditional Scandinavian menswear. He wears black hightops and, of course, wears a pointed red gnome hat that sits atop his head and pointy ears.

I got a lot of follows for OCs. So here's a character from a project I'm working on. Charlotte is a grumpy 20 something who just wants a decent job where she doesn't have to interact with irritating people. Still might exaggerate her design some as the project gets further along. We'll see.

"I guess it's time I take the leap and try to learn blender," I tell myself. I go to check my download folder realizing this exact situation has happened at least once before.

Blender 4.30 installer sits next to an old Blender 2.79 installer in the download folder between a gif of Blastoise doing Rain Dance and a MIDI of Blumchen's Herz and Herz. The quantum spheroid rolls momentarily over a previous point of fleeting light, déjà vu comes and goes like a sigh in the wind. I have been here before.
