i don't know how people do it (clean lineart) i watch insta reels of folks zooming in and rotating the canvas to get one pristine line and I'm like damn couldn't be me. i admire it tho

nick @roboomic.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

going through old art, and i really do just lose steam once i get a readable sketch, huh. my ability to sit still and make clean lines grows weaker each day

sometimes i feel like an adult but other times i still feel like a 12 year old sitting in my middle school spanish class imagining two dudes kissing. except now the spanish class is a hospital board meeting. and i am 29

i used to be so obsessed with getting perfect linework, but now I'm like, who gives a shit. let them lines be wobbly, it's a sign of a human hand

000

nick @roboomic.bsky.social · 06/09/2025

the only good thing about ai art is that it gives me the confidence to post my imperfect human art

Artists feel pressured to make new art too quickly at the moment. Normalise artists fucking disappearing for months. Just walk off into the woods for a year and come back with a single sketch. It’s good for you

the only game where organizing your inventory was fun was dredge. tetris the fish

010

nick @roboomic.bsky.social · 17/02/2025

i love playing games where you explore and craft and build a base and fight cool monsters. really wish there was a game like this where inventory management wasn't a huge pain

000

nick @roboomic.bsky.social · 17/02/2025

i think if your game makes me manage my inventory for more than an hour you should go to jail

totally recommend listening to the severance podcast. it's so cool to hear how collaborative the storytelling is, but it's also a treat to take a peak behind the tv show curtain and hear how much work these creative folks put in to make the show happen

nick @roboomic.bsky.social · 27/01/2025

severance writer dan erickson seems like a guy that has read homestuck

not furniture but there's a handheld clothing item that's just a little bird you hold. where was this when updates were still coming out for ac switch

000

nick @roboomic.bsky.social · 22/01/2025

honestly if they just took the little cozy furniture of pocket camp and put that into a big animal crossing game i'd be good

120

nick @roboomic.bsky.social · 20/01/2025

i am on my third rewatch of severance and i still can't get over how good it is. thinking about helly r forever and always
