The Browns announced they will be wearing their Alpha Dawg helmets to host the Steelers tomorrow night I like the helmet, but will miss the classic Steelers vs Browns uniform combo

Two new helmet debuts this weekend! Bills with their "Nickel City" uniforms, and Colts with their "Anvil Strike" I don't love either of the full uniforms, but I do like both helmets

Google is asleep at the wheel with their MCPs. Like what is this? I'm not doing all that Such a massive opportunity since their adwords and analytics UIs are overly complicated. Sheets + docs feels like table stakes now. Opportunity afoot

What are the Hornets doing? Why do you own a basketball team if you're going to sell out when your fans are finally interested again

I had Claude whip together Helmet Recolor Studio to make some new pixel-art helmets for NFL 17-0 Oddly meditative. Color by the numbers for the football fans 😆

The Seahawks absurd back-to-back-to-back draft classes from 2010-2012 2010 (ranked #11 out of 640 since 2006), 2011 (#8), and 2012 (#5) Landing Russell Wilson, Bobby Wagner, Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas, Kam Chancellor, Golden Tate, Bruce Irvin, and Russell Okung perthirtysix.com/nfl/draft/te...

11. It's a game, so it should feel like one Sports are great because they make us feel nostalgic and comfort. Conveying that was paramount for me. I leaned hard into a 16-bit style featuring team logos and colors everywhere I could To my own surprise, I love playing with the volume on

10. Tune the difficulty based on real players To make every point matter, I added decimal point expected wins, like 16-65 - 0.35, instead of rounding. After launch, I added playoffs against all-time great teams for based on real player data. Only the top 0.1% win the Super Bowl

9. Make it sting, but in a good way I show the "right answer" for every board It's oddly satisfying to see how you could have flipped a board completely on its head to gain a few points.

8. Learn while playing I want people to get better as they play, and learn a bit about football. I added a "scouting" feature that you can use once per game to view the top players for a given team/position.

7. Five leaderboards, each to tell you how you're doing in a new way 1. Daily Challenge Leaderboard 2. Per-Team leaderboards 3. Estimated record leaderboard (adjusted for team schedule) 4. Skill leaderboard - what's your average % of optimal drafted 5. Champion leaderboard - best overall rosters

6. Unique Daily Challenge A wordle-esque game where everyone plays as the same team and draws the same era assignments and team sequence. It's the main CTA if you haven't played it yet, and secondary if you have More to come here soon

4. Base it on real 2026 team schedules Instead of a generic schedule, you select to play as a specific team. - Your first pick is guaranteed to be from that team - You play against their real 2026 schedule Each team schedule has a different difficulty rating, and its own leaderboard. More texture

2. Filling a roster should feel complete without being frustratingly stringent There are 22 starters on an NFL team, and anywhere between 9 and 13 unique positions. I landed on QB + RB + 2x WR + TE + 2x Front 7 + DB 2x Front 7 (DEs, DTs, LBs) in particular was a great addition

1. A Recall exercise, not a slot machine In 82-0 (below), you pick from players in a list. I think half the fun is testing your ball knowledge, and want to push players to recall, without being tedious Solution: Load all the possible inputs for a given slot client side and match on 3+ characters.

Across every NFL trade since 2006, the trade-down side wins the best-player comparison 45% of the time, the trade-up side 35%. It seems like Buffalo cracked this code. The Bills did three first-round trade-backs in 2026 (26→28→31→35) picking up two extra fourth-rounders and moving up in the 3rd.

And the Saints come marching in, with both of the top 2 draft classes in the past 20 years. Their 2017 (#2) draft is the only one that scored each selection above the expected value for that pick. The Saints in 2006 (#1) landed future Hall of Famer Jahri Evans and Marques Colston in the 7th round

The 2014 Raiders (#4) drafted Khalil Mack and Derek Carr, who we have going at #2 and #9 in a redraft. perthirtysix.com/nfl/draft/se... The 2006 Broncos (#3) drafted Jay Cutler, Brandon Marshall, and Elvis Dumervil, who would all go top 15 in a redraft. perthirtysix.com/nfl/draft/se...

The 2013 Packers (#9) and the 2018 Ravens (#6) both had misses in the 1st round, but cooked later in the draft, with the Ravens landing Lamar, Mark Andrews, and Orlando Brown Jr. from picks 32 to 86. The 2018 Eagles (#7) was highlighted in drafting Jordan Mailata in the 7th round

The 2015 Vikings (#12) landed Eric Kendricks, Danielle Hunter, and Stefon Diggs. The 2019 Titans (#10) landed both Jeffery Simmons and A.J. Brown.

The 12 best NFL draft classes in the last 20 years: The Seahawks 2010 (#11), 2011 (#8), and 2012 (#5) drafts were insane. Landing Russell Wilson, Bobby Wagner, Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas, Kam Chancellor, Golden Tate, and Russell Okung. Transforming them from mediocre to a juggernaut in the NFC

The Seahawks had two incredible drafts back-to-back in 2011 and 2012, which led them to back-to-back Super Bowl appearances 2 years later. The Ravens missed on Hayden Hurst in the 1st round, but went on to draft Lamar, Mark Andrews, and Orlando Brown Jr
