Carnival in Mazatlán is wonderful. Two events we attended were the Naval Combat fireworks (celebrating victory over the French trying to take the city) and the Sunday Carnival parade. Mazatlán's Carnival celebration is third largest behind New Orleans and Rio de Janeiro.
