From the New Hampshire Fiscal Policy Institute: The new NH State Budget decreases funding for USNH by 17.6% ($35.0 million) compared to the last biennium. In SFY 2025, NH trailed all other states in public higher education funding when measured on a per capita basis. nhfpi.org/resource/the...
Text: The new State Budget modestly increases funding for CCSNH by about 1 percent ($940,000) but decreases funding for USNH by 17.6 percent ($35.0 million) compared to the last biennium. The budget specifically allocates $3 million in CCSNH funding each fiscal year to dual and concurrent enrollment programs, which provide high school students in grades 10-12 with opportunities to take college courses. Additionally, $200,000 is allocated each year to math learning communities, allowing districts to offer certain CCSNH math courses at their schools. In SFY 2025, New Hampshire trailed all other states in public higher education funding when measured on a per capita basis as well as relative to the amount of personal income in the state.

Accompany graph shows funding since 2006, basically falling.

"We’ve seen the return on investment in public health over and over again." Your Local Epidemiologist has the facts.
Opioid crisis response efforts: For every $1 invested in overdose prevention, $4 is saved in health care and criminal justice costs.
The Vaccines for Children Program prevents 42,000 deaths annually, saving $10.50 for every $1 invested—amounting to $2.2 trillion in taxpayer savings.
Community weight loss programs. Every $1 invested yields a return of $16.70.
Mental health interventions. Every $1 invested in collaborative care models (integrated mental health treatment within primary care settings) yields a return of $6.50 in health care savings and improved worker productivity.

“Our desire for happiness at work is one that has been constructed for us, and the world that constructed that desire is falling apart around us. As it does so, we suddenly have space to think about a different world, and what we might want once it is here.”
