Robert Stone @robertjstone.bsky.social · 27/12/2025Not much luck on our South Norfolk Christmas break until 5 Mottled Umbers turned up last night. #teammoth. 0120

Robert Stone @robertjstone.bsky.social · 21/12/2025The Blastobasis sp. I found on Nov. 30-Dec 02 has now been confirmed (without dissection) by the CMR as B. vittata on account of the 'clear black shoulder marks'. Be interesting to see how he feels about the one I found this morning alongside 2 moths that look more like adustella. VC25 #teammmoth. 030
Robert Stone @robertjstone.bsky.social · 20/12/2025This morning's walk around the park, VC25, produced 3 Common Plumes (one of them looking very frosty), a lovely Mottled Umber and 11 Winter Moths. #teammoth. 0160

Robert Stone @robertjstone.bsky.social · 16/12/2025VC25. Dark Chestnut in the trap last night. 2 Rusty-dot Pearl, Large Pale Masoner and Double-striped Pug on the store window. #teammoth. 090

Robert Stone @robertjstone.bsky.social · 12/12/2025Still a few interesting moths on the store window, VC25; Female Winter Moth, an attractive Mottled Umber and a very late Double-striped Pug (two previous county records on this date). #teammoth. 0130

Robert Stone @robertjstone.bsky.social · 03/12/2025The Suffolk CMR wants to record this VC25 moth (recorded by me as B. adustella) as 'a clear female vittata' on account of the black shoulders. Is this a new criterion? The Suffolk website still firmly says 'gen. det.' Infrequently recorded in the county although I see a lot of 'probables'. #teammoth 280

Robert Stone @robertjstone.bsky.social · 29/11/2025A bit worn in the VC25 garden trap, but I think this is a NFY Red-line Quaker. On the store-front were 2 Turnip Moths (only 3 previous records for Suffolk on this date) and a female Winter Moth. #teammoth. 050
Robert Stone @robertjstone.bsky.social · 28/11/2025Much to my surprise, 8 moths in the VC25 trap last night and 5 more on the store window. Yellow-line Quaker, Large Yellow Underwing caterpillar, December Moth and 2 very late Double-striped Pugs (only 1 previous record on this date for Suffolk). #teammoth. 0140
Robert Stone @robertjstone.bsky.social · 27/11/2025I find it very difficult to photograph these little chaps, but this is certainly Phyllonrycter platani/Plane leaf-miner. Not recorded as adults in Suffolk on this date, but I think simply overlooked. On the store window VC25. Only B. adustella in the trap. #teammoth. 050
