If I tell you that playing the title role of Hick Scorner is in fact not a massive ego trip, but actually an act of charity as it is the smallest part, would anyone believe me?

70 years ago today, the BBC showed a recording of the CBC's Flight into Danger - later remade as the film Airplane!, and one of the important steps on the way to the creation of #DoctorWho. To celebrate, here's a much longer edit of my audio documentary telling Flight into Danger's story:

Whooo-hooo! Or rather Zaaaaaarbi-ye-ye! I am taking a day off from boring people about pre-modern drama, to talk Zarbi! 1965 is about as modern as my elastic runs, before I snap back to 1565. (Technically I'm kinda the opposite of a Shakespeare scholar, in that I work on everyone except him.)

Well, our Sir Thomas More event is over. An entire text performed warts and all, with panels, discussion, drinking, and a lot of hard work. There were 22 people directly involved in the show, but also an army of regulars in our exploring sessions who made it the show it was. Thank you.
