Knowledge is intrinsically good. It's enough simply that they know.

It was just a business decision. Why are people so fussed?

Seriously though standard of game over the last two weeks really brings home that the Crows have quite a way to go.

Sad for Fremantle. They would have felt the final result as a real gut-punch

Well, hoping to see Fremantle win their first Premiership, so this result was a bit of a gut punch.

Clickbait. What has happened to Crikey?

Agreed. And while we’re at it, I could bear a few less fardels.

That is the Greens. It is already their policy.

One Nation is the party of instant gratification. This is one more example. And yes, there is a determination on the conservative side of politics to wreck superannuation. I’m not quite sure why. A contributory super system should appeal to their claim that they are all for self-help.

Gemini AI informs me that the current Channel 9 70-Year anniversary ad on TV is, as I thought, AI generated. So, no royalties to any human actors, I assume. Take note. This is not good, the slippery slope.

Only fitting that Niagara Falls, part of the main waterway feeding Lake America, should be renamed America Falls.

Bangladesh test victory: shocking! This is the death of Australian cricket. We should burn the bails and put the ashes in an urn.

What Aussies really think of falling house prices
A new poll has delivered firm evidence most Australians view the weakening property market in one way.
000
Robert Challis @robertchallis.bsky.social · 06/08/2026
I think that is plain wrong. The media is swallowing its own propaganda. People in general are on board with cooling the housing market. www.theage.com.au/politics/fed...

A growing majority say house prices have to fall. Even owners
It was the unwritten rule of Australian politics – house prices must rise. But a new poll shows that’s no longer how everyone thinks.

Hey FIFA, I’ll give you a hundred bucks for the corner flag that Spanish player destroyed.

Can’t see Spain or Argentina scoring 6 goals tomorrow, so morally England has won the World Cup. Nice little addition to their moral victory in the recent Ashes series.

Fair question, just as it has been the many times when Labor is asked if it would rule out forming government with the Greens. I didn't watch the interview, but it sounds like Taylor, typically, didn't give a clear answer, so perhaps that's why she was "incessant".

My hope was that Alex Jones’s grift empire would collapse, so in that sense he was a beacon not just of hope but of realised hope.

The electoral test for Clacton is over how many voters have a sense of irony and humour. The overwhelming success of Boaty McBoatface in a very serious poll to name a scientific ship to the Antarctic is a testament to British irony. The question is whether the people of Clacton are true Brits.

I agree with you, however I took the time to watch first 20 minutes of his Yaxley-Lennon “interview”. It really was a new low even for Stefanovic. He essentially sat there grinning and nodding while Y-L delivered a monologue. If he had any credibility as an interviewer before, zero now.
