This was a great night! My 13 year old self would be very happy for me. The night was full of surprises, like Aimee Mann joining the band for Time Stand Still, performing the entirety of Moving Pictures, and ending the night with a lovely tribute to John Rutsey when they played Working Man.

Took my mom out for an early Mother’s Day dinner yesterday, and we figured out her favorite meal is now two lobster tails. Two.

I finally made some sounds worth working into a proper composition. Small victories.

This was quite the power meeting last night. Introducing a visionary artist, Marcos Lutyens, to an equally visionary experimental physicist, Rana Adhikari. Good, weird stuff is going to come of this. Stay tuned!

Basinski fans, come see the installation “Orbihedron” by Evelina Domnitch & Dmitry Gelfand at Fulcrum Arts in Pasadena, up through January 19, 2025. The sculpture features a score by Basinski that is part of his larger work, “On Time Out Of Time”, one of my personal faves. @musex1.bsky.social
