If you know anyone that lives or has family here that still wants to vote for him, show them this footage of their guy and how much he really cares about us all. I can’t believe this is real.

#HorrorADayTillHalloween26 Day 33 - Manic (1934) The kind of densely stupid filmmaking that Ed Wood gets mistakenly accused of. Awful acting, story, editing, shot composition & none in a "fun" way. At one point they show a guy squeeze out a cat's eyeball & eat it. Fuck that. The best part...

#HorrorADayTillHalloween26 Day 31 - Human Experiments (1979) Sounds like a horrible thing until you hear this lady’s act. This film's kind of great? Not as simplistic as it seems except when it is. Light on experiments, actually, unless you count the prog band that plays the jailhouse cafeteria.

#HorrorADayTillHalloween26 Day 30 - Horror Island (1941) Fuzzy Knight co-stars as Stuff Oliver in this Universal haunted house treasure hunt comedy. I like these fun little films that just hum right along without too many surprises, but plenty of skulls and shit.

"So shines a good deed in a weary world” Possibly too jingoistic of me to think so, but worth a statement, if only to confront the personal introspection.

some showgirls walk into a barn where a bunch of other women are chained up & are immediate like “well, i guess we’re prisoners now” and we wait for their manager to find them via random diner scenes even though there are plenty of weapons and opportunities to escape you are like “a man wrote this”.

#HorrorADayTillHalloween26 Day 20 - Terror Circus (1974) aka Barn Of The Naked Dead This destroys my “all circus themed horror movies are good” theory. Starts off with a well directed gas station scene and a cool 70’s palette, but drops right off with no real story or anything as…

#HorrorADayTillHalloween26 Day 16 - Robo Vampire (1988) A Chinese Hopping Vampire wearing a gorilla mask wants to marry the ghost of his dead fiancée and also there is a football pads Robocop guy and other than that i dunno what the fuck is going on…

The narrator’s haircut is the scariest thing in the film (and his tone is worse).

#HorrorADayTillHalloween26 Day 11 BONUS - Invasion Of The Saucer Men (1957) Cool monsters, stupid humans and a score that makes you think that The Three Stooges are gonna show up. Little green men inject horny teens with booze fingers so no one will believe them.

#HorrorADayTillHalloween26 Day 11 - Beginning Of The End (1957) Bert I. Gordon’s shitty Them! (1954) ripoff, where he bought a box of grasshoppers to pass of as locusts, but they mostly ate each other before he got to set…

#HorrorADayTillHalloween26 Day 8 - Return to Sleepaway Camp (2008) “Surely that awful makeup job must be a misdirect?” A film of mean, ignorant people WHO ARE ALWAYS YELLING and are thus portrayed (as i myself went to camp and are from thereabouts) somewhat accurately. No fun. Ricky got cut, tho

Yeah, the baddy in 2 and 3 (there’s nothing to spoil here) is played by Bruce Springsteen’s sister, but far more interestingly, the writer of both is this fucking legend…

#HorrorADayTillHalloween26 Day 3 - Sleepaway Camp 3 (1989) Though surprisingly inventive at times, even Michael J. Pollard can’t sway a cast that all seem to have something better to do than be in this movie. I think they were going for a Dream Warriors vibe. Painful, yet better than i remember.

#HorrorADayTillHalloween26 Day 2 - Ghost In The Cell (2026) Aside from occasional short diversions into the director’s own “indie rock” (& an egregious Patience and Prudence cover), this is a fun Indonesian comedic genre bender that surprisingly leans into the gore, politics, & man ass. Good times.

#HorrorADayTillHalloween26 Day 1 - Sleepaway Camp II (1988) Not sure if i’ve ever seen a slasher where the killer is the only likeable person in the film. Didn’t expect much, but the rejection of heightened pace was refreshing. Like, “guess i’ll kill now”. Blinking tableau. Some quality mullets

This was lovely. John, Pall, Jason and Jovi did a couple quad Can covers and I did a couple This Heat covers with Alexis Fleisig, Donny, and Scout. Surreal to see everyone step into our teenage Che Cafe roles from kitchen to stage. Lots of Rich love shared. Can hear his laugh just thinking about it.
