Nabbed my comment left on a reddit post, but some tips for the area around Fanfest for people attending in Anaheim this weekend! (full comment in Alt text as well!) #ffxiv #fanfest

More location specific, but the CVS and Walgreens right by the convention center/close hotels ALWAYS are busy (you're battling FanFest attendees and Disneyland travelers). Just be prepared to wait if there's a line.

Hilton by the convention center has a Starbucks for you Sbux people, but it does close early (like 6pm, so check hours!) and the lines are also, of course, long. Coffee Bean around the corner close to the CVS is open until 7/8:30.

Other tips:

Hilton lobby elevators are slow and busy. If you're a cosplayer, adjust accordingly.
Hilton lobby bar is a good social area.

Lots of good cosplay photo opportunities in the area around the convention center grounds, just don't go anywhere you shouldn't.

At cons usually held there, there's like, 8 food trucks they bring in. Not sure what SE will do, but there could be variety (if you need food and will wait for it!)

Even more other tips:

If the top floor of the main hall of the convention center is open, there's a great view over the fountain and the masses below. Good place to get some air, take photos, etc. Really depends if the top floor is open.

If your hotel gives you breakfast included, use it. Fueling up beforehand will get you from being run down early in the day.

IHOP across the street from the Convention Center is open 24 hours. If possible, tip some extra money to the servers if you can. Don't leave them hanging in an already busy location during a much busier weekend.

It's not a long walk to Downtown Disney, but it is still a bit of a walk. Follow the signs, don't bring anything that could get taken by Disney Security, and have fun with the different food places they offer. Likely the Din Tai Fung in Downtown Disney is gonna be slammed all weekend.

The first campaign I ever DM'd came to a close over the weekend. Almost 3 years of sessions when we all could get together. The players were fantastic and did wild things I didn't expect. Which is so like them. Can't wait for the next one.

Dungeons and Dragons miniatures on a stone altar with plants and red tendrils of light. When you put a harengon, tortle, dragonborn, shapeshifter, and eladrin in a tense situation, they tend to pull off their shenanigans.
