Robb - Thrunning Around @robbthedad.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Yeah Midnight sons or some overall magical Marvel with the time stone as the infinity stone would track. We know it’s a Marvel set every year and they said next year would all be fantasy adjacent. Doc Strange, Dracula, Werewolf by Night, etc makes sense. 010
Robb - Thrunning Around @robbthedad.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Anyone want these? TCGplayer low #mtg 010
Robb - Thrunning Around @robbthedad.bsky.social · 06/10/2026When you buy a pack you pay for each piece of cardboard in it equally. The secondary value comes from its gameplay strength/rarity. Which WotC has near total control over and can destroy or enhance at their leisure. 000
Robb - Thrunning Around @robbthedad.bsky.social · 06/10/2026That’s not true. We’re buying a physical permanent piece of paper. WotC/Hasbro control the power that item provides the game. They can ban it. They can power creep it. Them selling us expensive card board for its “power” feels like Sony saying we don’t own the digital item we paid for. 100
Robb - Thrunning Around @robbthedad.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Mark Rosewater once said something to the effect of “you’re paying for the power in the pack” when asked about the outrageous Commander Masters pack prices for cardboard that cost almost as much as a set with packs that were a fraction of the cost. 100
Robb - Thrunning Around @robbthedad.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Let’s be realistic about #MTG and its pricing. We are, once again, seeing WotC/Hasbro shaving pennies off of cost by giving us less and saying we should appreciate it. They’ve continued to learn the wrong thing at almost every turn. They continue to cater to scalpers more and more. 110
Robb - Thrunning Around @robbthedad.bsky.social · 06/10/2026The only thing I don’t like about it is that it’s literally less cardboard for the same price. If they just said they knocked a dollar off of each pack I’d be fine with it. It just feels like another weird instance of nickel and dime-ing us like removing date stamps from Prerelease promos. 000
Robb - Thrunning Around @robbthedad.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Less cardboard same price. Also ridiculous. Gimme some damn tokens. I’m cool with foil tokens. Or alt art commons an uncommons those Reality fracture full art uncommons are sick. 020

Robb - Thrunning Around @robbthedad.bsky.social · 05/10/2026Weird that you have that much self control and aren’t a monk? Yes. I’ve got a couple things I’m saving for my birthday and I basically hid them from myself so I don’t open them. 130

Robb - Thrunning Around @robbthedad.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Them offering refunds because it’s “not what you expected” shows they’re catering toward scalpers. No one buying to play with these or collect them would refund because it’s slightly more available for one whole day. 010

Robb - Thrunning Around @robbthedad.bsky.social · 22/09/2026I think the difference is Star Trek to Fantasy is like the main Marvel comics and then a rewrite into 1602 Marvel. Vs Star Wars where it’s essentially a Fortnite skin over the IP. 110
