Just finished Andrew Wear’s “Solved!”. It’d be lovely to see principles of success adopted and sustained - however the “what next” chapter feels a bit naively optimistic in 2025 in the face of efforts to undermine collective benefit for small-group gain. Good ideas that need a bigger audience

Looks like I managed to snap a quick picture from the work Christmas party... turned out okay for PUI (photograph under the influence).

Sydney Opera House lit at night, viewed from the west of Circular Quay. A ferry is visible, though blurry. The harbour water is calm. It was a cloudy, rainy night so no stars or clouds are visible - the sky is black. Lights in the distance are from houses and apartments.
