GOW: Fate. New piece of the 20th Anniversary God Of War show. This is a nod to Kratos’s character growth and his changing identity. Serpents have been historically used to represent transformation as they shed their skin, again a nod to his transformation and growth. Close ups in the comments.

More Black Phyrexian Dominus I designed in 2021 for Magic The Gathering's set “Phyrexia: All Will Be One”. With these Black Phyrexian Dominus, or more specifically Drivnod, we began with the idea that they where "living monuments". Drivnod became more of a serpent like slithering behemoth for final.

Black Phyrexian Priests I designed in 2021 for Magic The Gathering set “Phyrexia: All Will Be One”. With the Black Phyrexians we utilized red flesh like accents to break up a primarily black read. Definitely channeled some Hellraiser type aesthetics me thinks.

Green Phyrexian Priests, a 🧵… Created in 2021 for Magic The Gathering set “Phyrexia: All Will Be One”. With the Green Phyrexians we utilized oxidized copper as their main visual read. The Priests materialize from pools of liquid metal within the ground, rising to perform their rituals.

The Folk of Old A page from my book project, Numinous. 2017. Included a story write up for this page in the alt text, it’s a fun little read.

“The Folk of Old”
While a common sight on my travels in the Redlands, their purpose has yet to be revealed. Flesh and tech intertwined, moving about and working as one. Material found and material forged, functioning in perfect harmony. A people as much a part of their technology and architecture as it is of them: this sort of "flesh-tech" is found at their very core.

Despite all the information I’ve been able to gather throughout my time here, the exact age of these mysterious and intriguing people still remains unclear. It is well documented, however, that they were the first to inhabit these lands. The first to mine its resources and to co-exist with its many parts. The first to grant the handprint of history on its red bleached earth.

From as close a distance as possible, I have observed their rituals of the old: channeling information and archiving it in ways I still struggle to comprehend. As they carry out their weighty tasks, they do not seem to mind my presence. Whether it is out of single minded focus or the absence of threat I do not know, but I will take advantage of it all the same to see what tales they may have to tell.
